I really need areas to fish in! I have not found a good spot for my skill lvl. I am just looking for a place that has a large variety of fish/items any ideas or advice is apperciated!

I know that fishing is not a widely wanted or used proffesion but I do it when I am bored. So, if there are any high lvl fishers out please help me! I am not here to steal your fish or perhaps a secret that you found by making money selling fish. >_< I am just a man and a pole that would like to catch high lvl fish that i could use in my high lvl cooking or to give to friends that need them as regents. I dont know maybe im just strange but I want to fish d@mnit

I am also one who likes to fish. , and with a cooking skill of 300, I can make all the cool buff giving recipies for the fish I catch.
As for locations, I have been looking myself, I just drop a line in any high lvl area. I do have a secret though. As a shaman I will waterwalk to avoid agro mobs.
Thats basically it, I did find some nice fish off the coast of azshara last night.

I have a 300 fishing, and I personally like to fish off the dock in steamwheedle port, or at the river in ferelas, lotsa alchemy fish which sell for many gold (stack of blackmouth fish goes for 50 silver, 1.5 gold buyout, firefin goes for 75 silver/2gold buyout, not sure about stonescale eel, i give it to my guild alchemists)
I don't know what the minimum skill level is but I like Tanaris in a little cove called Zalashji's Den. There is a wide variety of fish (Mostly Spotted Yellowtail) and, at lower rates, clams for the Artisian Cooking Quest with the occasional Black Pearl. I especially liked it there because there was also a Mithril vein which respawned fairly regularly.. Probably an Alliance only fishin' hole though. Zalashji is an Alliance friendly critter.

Verdantis River in Feralas
Un'Goro Crater, tar pits and the river.
The dock in Steamwheedle Port in Tanaris
The coast in Azshara
Eastern and Western Plaguelands.
Those are just some of the spots I've done well in with high level fishing. Basically if you just try spots as you travel, you'll probably find other good ones.

I like to fish in Feralas on Feather Moonstrong Hold Island near the pier. You have the town right there, venders, mail box (so I can send my alt all my fish to sell in IF with out filling up a bunch of backpack slots), and there is a Hippogryph station there if you feel the need to go somewhere else quickly. Most all the higher level fish listed in the messages above drop there as well as the occasional black or gold pearl. It is Alliance held, so if you were on a PvP server, no real worries...:)
