Ok, so my leatherworking is around 160, and I'm having trouble gathering the supplies necessary to make items that will push my points. Leather itself isn't the problem. Hides either. It's the POTIONS and ELIXIRS!!!

Any suggestions on how to pick up these things without signing away your first born in the auction house? Even so, I have yet to see an elixir of agility of any type. Now I also need bolts of silk. Buckles. What the heck!

I am still raising with every other heavy leather tool kit, but that's going to slow down soon enough. Please tell me that I will be able to keep raising without having to beg and plead with alchemists and tailors to help make my stuff. Yuck.

You can raise skills without any of those. I did for the most part. However, if you want to use them they can be easier recipies.

The easiest way to get them is to team up with other artisans, especially guild artisans. Elixirs are from alchemists, bolts of silk from tailors, and buckles from smiths. Bolts an buckles are actually good skillup recipies, so you can usually find someone willing to make them cheaply if you don't have a guildie who can.

Pick up the dusky leather legs recipie, thats a good skillup without wierd components. Grab barbaric shoulders too. Those 2 should take you more or less to the level of thick leather. With thick you should be ok until you get to the 250s where good recipies dry up and you need to farm odd mobs for scales or buy the few good skillups again.
