I've recently started adventuring in the Blackrock Depths instance, where I have been able to mine up dark iron. my problem is no one teaches you how to smelt it! I heard someone in the instance will teach you, but I haven't seen any info on who they are. Also besides 1 recipe I saw in the auction house, I haven't seen any dark iron platemail. Is there a quest to get the recipes perhaps? If anyone has any concrete info please post it. I would be very happy to hear it. I got that recipe from the auction house, but all my dark iron is in ore form.

I know very little but here is what I do know. There is a forge in the instance where yacan smelt it. I was at the forge but dont remeber a npc there to train ya to smelt. I do know for a fact you need 8 ore to make 1 bar!! Yes 8 ore to make 1 bar! And my friend has a mace recipe to make me but it requires 18 dark iron bars! You do the math!
