So I was messing around on my 360 the other day and noticed that FFXI actually has achievements for FFXI....and for the year or so I played it on the xbox I didnt unlock a single one of them (lolZisa)

Anyways, I looked them up today to find the point system quite strange...

tl;dr version:
Level a job to 75 = 30 points
Rank 10 any nation = 30 points
ZM/ToAU/CoP completion = 40 points each
100 synthesis = 50 points
Relic Weapon = 30 points

So basically something that can take years to do, is worth less than spamming ZM's in a day.

Yeah...the achievement system is pretty useless anyways except for online epeen really. I would probably care more about the points if they meant something, like maybe some free Microsoft Points or something useful.

Leveling Dragoon to 75 actually deducts 30 points from your score.

Sure. Its not as bad as it used to be, but its a pain to gear DRG unless you have alot of cash and/or friends to help you get Rare/Ex gear...but yeah its a fun job to play.

Sure. Its not as bad as it used to be, but its a pain to gear DRG unless you have alot of cash and/or friends to help you get Rare/Ex gear...but yeah its a fun job to play.

Talk to a bard that changes titles.

I showed a friend the Babbans(SP) mandy trick and when he went to change his title apparently he was stuck in 10 min of earning achievements. I had to wait for him to get them all. They flooded in when he spoke to the bard beside windy walls AH up near the split facing the tree.
