The Star Onion Brigade Linkshell
is hosting
Garrison Zulkheim

~*~*~*~

November 21st, Sunday

=============================================================

WHAT: Garrison Zulkheim
WHEN: Sunday, November 21st. 4PM-8PM Pacific Standard Time
WHERE: Ordellas Caves, Valkrum Dunes

WHY: Prizes. Money. DEATH-GA.

Currently Zulkheim is under Bastokan control, but since the conquest resets on Sunday morning the item traders could be from any nation. Realistically, its going to be either Bastok or Sandoria. Because its hard to predict who will be in control until the early weekend, the item farming will be done on Sunday.

GARRISON CAN ONLY BE ACTIVATED BY PERSONS WHO COUNTRY IS IN CONTROL OF THE AFFECTED REGION.

So, starting at 4PM on Sunday afternoon (Pacfic Time) the SOB Linkshell will be heading down to Ordellas Cave to farm for the Garrison items.

--

THE TRIGGER ITEM

** Galka Fang Sack
- Goblin Furrier
- Goblin Smithy

Anyone who is interested in collecting items in a large group should join the alliance then. Those whos country the region is in control of will have first dibs on the item lot.

--

6PM on Sunday the group will be moving towards Valkrum. We probably won't begin at 6 exactly, but need as people who are interested to be there by that time.

The Garrison will be held at the Valkrum Outpost.

--

THE LOOT

When the alliance is ready those with the trigger item will /random for the order of trade. The highest lot goes first.

After the Garrison is over, the item holder will have a chance to lot on any item of his/her choice. Afterwards anyone in the alliance is free to lot on what they want.

* 2,700 - 3,000 Gil
* Dragon Chronicles (EXP scroll)
* Military Spear
* Military Gun
* Military Pick
* Military Axe
* Mannequin Feet
* Mannequin Legs

You may not win a lot on the first Garrison. To be honest you may not win a lot on any of the Garrisons. Only having a trigger item and being in the nation of control PROMISES an item. But you will get 2,700 - 3,000 gil for every successful try.

And you get to kill things.

---

THE TIER

Garrison Zulkheim is a LV 30 Restriction.

The beastmen being fought will be goblins:

* Goblin Swordmaker (WAR)
* Goblin Gaoler (DRK)
* Goblin Leecher (WHM)
* Goblin Gambler (BLM)
** NM Goblin Swindler (THF, uses Perfect Dodge)

We expect 3-5 waves on monsters for each Garrison, ending with the Goblin Swindler.

---

THE BATTLE PLAN

The battle plan is standard. Have a brd/blm/rdm pull one mob away from the central group and keep it slept so that the NPCs and PCs can enter each wave at full MP and HP.

---

WHAT TO BRING

Bring food, drinks, and potions. What you would bring to a normal exp party.

Have updated gear and weapons. Most of us have a set of lv 30 gear for Promvyions, so bascically set yourself up like you're about to do one of those.

---

WHAT TO EXPECT

Lots and lots of death, some good loots, and probably a few odd looks from newer players who have never seen a Garrison before. Zulkheim isn't done very often, so it might surprise a few of the players.

Be prepared to loose around 600 exp. In the event that you die, that is around the amount of a lv 30 looses without raise or moghancements. We aren't planning to die, but accidents do happen.

Lag - lots of computers experience this. If you're on a PC, make sure that you don't have any extra unnecessary programs (like AIM or Kazaa) running to give you undue lag. If you're on a network and can unplug the internet to a few of the other computers, do so. It helps alot. Chat filters are also helpful, turn off weather effects and shadows can also help to combat lag.

---

DOs and DON'Ts

DO: * Bring updated gear and weapons
* Set your HP in Selbina
* Listen to instructions
* Be ready to slaughter lots and lots of gobs

DON'T: * Lot on an item until the item holder picks
* Pull the mob being slept
* Have a bad attitude

Garrisons or any event that brings together full alliances makes things chaotic and people do get nervous. Its no problem. We'll explain everything you need to know and if you have questions, ask them.

The SOBs are like girls, they just want to have fun. These group events are high pressure, but we don't need to loose our cool.

Questions? Comments?

* Kysaiana, Mithra Samurai
* Seiya, Hume Black Mage
* Grendell, Hume White Mage
* Zieskil, Elvaan Dark Knight
* Mimir, Tarutaru Beastmaster

The SOBs are usually on late at night unless an event has been schedualed. So if you want in or have a question, look around then. Kysaiana and Seiya are more regular players then Grendell and Zieskil, and Mimir is on frequently in the early afternoon.

Eh, to be honest, I only checked the price on one of the military weapons. But the Military Axe sells for about 50k in Jeuno.

We're interested in anyone who wants to join. I'm keeping a list of who posted in this thread, but if you don't want to bother with that then just send Zieskil, Seiya, or Grendell a /tell on Sunday around the start time.

Checking the Zulkheim region, it looks like Bastok is going to be in charge for the next conquest.

I've never done a Garrison before I'd like to give it a go if possible. I'm from Windhurst so I won't be able to activate it but I'm more interested in the learning experience anyway. Level 30 WHM is the only job I have high enough.

As far as the everyone is free to lot on the extra stuff does that mean everyone lots on everything after the item trader gets their thing? Or is it expected to only get one item?

After the trader gets their chosen item anyone can lot on anything. Its too time consuming and annoying to keep an eye on each Garrison to make sure that people who have already gotten an item don't lot again.

So yeah, someone could get two items in one Garrison; or get one item in each Garrison if they have a lucky lot. /shrug. Even if you don't win on an item, you still do get gil for completeing the task.

Also, the exp scrolls are rare/ex so you'll either have to use it as soon as you get it or pass on the other exp scroll drops.

I will be there for the garrison but I won't be able to log in until about 6:15, but i will log in at outpost. Please save me a spot^^. Also, just a sugesstion, ban lotting, let it random drop. You can't lot if your dead.
