Hello all. As you guys may or may not know, I am part of LordsoftheBeasts LS. We are a shell that actively helps out fellow Beastmasters and other members of Shiva and we have levels 1-75, do a bunch of stuff including missions/CoP/BCNMs and such. Well, we are starting an event shell, simply called BSU (Blow Sh*t Up) for our 70+ members and are looking for like-minded folk. We are focusing on starting with sky runs, then work our way into KS99's, sea hunts and Limbus (we have several members with sea access). You can be any job to apply, only requirement is you are 70+ with sky access.

What makes BSU different than other HNM/Sky shells? The concept is simple, we have a bunch of high level BST & players with other 70+ jobs that pretty much don't just don't like the HNMLS scene (no offense to the HNMLS out there). Yet, we want to experience many of the "end game content" activities FFXI has to offer, such as gods, limbus, poppable NMs and the KS versions of HNMs. The shell is different in the sense that the system is set up to reward attendance, not to help the LS gain "power" with items. We plan on chopping all non rare/exe stuff into gil and distributing evenly based on points, so that way everyone gets a piece of the pie. Any rare/exe can be lotted according to points, regardless of what job you are. For example: we will not discriminate if a BRD wants a melee piece of equipment, as long as he/she has the points to lot, you have the opportunity. There will be no LS items, no LS bank.

The other thing that makes us different…we tend to think outside the box. We tend to do things out of the ordinary and tweak strategies to fit any given situation, not follow cookie cutter ways of doing things. We won't make you level a job or subjob you hate just cause that's the "way" it has been done in the past. A few examples of what we have done that is out of the norm: We have beaten Hakutaku with 3 people in their mid-60's, done all the Sea missions up to 8-3 with a party of 6 BST (doing 8-3 next Friday), taken down Genbu with a group comprised of 15 BST and SMN only, killed Vivian with 5 people and several other weird and wild things. We have several members that love to research, plan, come up with strategies and can think very quick on their feet, adapting to ever changing situations.

Our Mission Statement:

The mission of this shell is to provide* end-game content for its members through scheduled events in Sky. Additional elements that will be added as we grow and become more fine-tuned include, but are not limited to: Sea, KS99 runs, Limbus.

BSU is not a LS that awards by job, rather by participation and seniority. Hence the points system geared towards rewarding participation, not what job you have.

*Note: if you want things quick, fast and easy, this is not the shell for you. We are not looking to gain immense wealth, or get every piece of god gear as quick as possible…we simply want to BSU and have fun doing so. The drops and items will come, but that is not our main focus.

If you are interested, please check our rules, point system and other info posted, then register and apply at http://bsu.hosted-forum.com

thanks for the encouragement. We are really hopeful that this will be a fun way to fight some gods and make some profit/get some gear. We already have a base of around 20 members and looking to add. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please ask!

For those that have expressed interest and are checking the site regularly, please register and submit an application. The application is more for tracking purposes than to actually be some kind of test you have to pass in order to join. We're a laid back group and just want to Blow **** Up.

Our first farming runs have started. Currently we only have one PST time-slot per week, but will quickly add another PST one and a couple EST ones within another week or so. We'd like to get a good base before we start killing the gods, but we plan to take out our first one within the month and it will be on a weekend at the most mutually available time-slot we can plan for.
