Ask if GM are actually going to be made to do there job instead of just telling us they will investigate over and over and over.

Ask them if they are going to do something about the horrible way in which we are forced to sit in the same spot for hours on end waiting for a mob to pop with 150 other people once a day in order to earn gear we'd like to see on ourselves. Suggest that they change the over-crowded HNMs to poppable monsters instead of this stupid camping at 5am in the morning for a pop you probably won't be able to fight anyways.

I dig this question. In most industry sectors, when a customer makes a call to the support infrastructure of an organization, the feedback loop is closed when the customer is contacted with some form of resolution to the issue reported.

Not doing so, rightly or wrongly, leaves the customer with the feeling that nothing is being done to resolve a problem. Clearly FFXI GM's are suffering from this stigma.

Does SE/SOE ever plan on implimenting a more standard support methodology (i.e. will GM's ever report back to players concerning the what action is taken on a Helpdesk/GM call if immediate resolution isn't reached)?

Another question:

For various and sundry reasons FFXI users may have to re-install FFXI on their platform. While not a daily occurance, it happens often enough to be a irritant.

Not only is the media install a lengthy process with FFXI + RotZ + CoP, but the impending [LARGE] download of updated fiels is a time sink.

Would SOE/SE consider offering downloadable ISO (cd-rom) images that would allow users burn update disks? (A single constant download stream is far more effecient than the current model of repeated connection startup, content download, and connection teardown).

Final question (and a fairly selfish one at that):

The only reason I have a windows partition on my laptop is to be able to play ffxi while I'm on the road. That's 15'ish gigs of diskspace I'd rather allocate somewhere else, and a considerable security hole that I'd rather not have.

Might we see FFXI get ported to another platform (read: Linux), or might SE/SOE work closely with Transgaming help make FFXI compatible with Cedega?

Sorry Glitter if this sounds like a hi-jack but it relates to the posted question on the GMs.

I honestly would like to see the GMs be more helpful to paying customers, us the FFXI players, but I think people would then complain if they did "too much". On another server forum, don't remember which one, a well known player who was one of the original NA players got his character banned because a new player complained that his name meant something vulgar in another language. The GM confronted the player about the accusation and the player explained to him that thats not what his name means but the GM banned him anyway.

They can only do so much w/o being wideo-game Gestapos. Some of them are helpful and courteuos, others are rude and just jerks. If SE really wanted to have a group of people willing to investigate and deal with our problems, and I mean EVERY problem that they get a complaint from they would literally have to make the Gestapo.

in an idea world. ALL NM would be poppable from ??? and BCNMable and also GM WOULD ONLY BE THERE FOR TECH HELP. GM dont do much as it is. let us MPK and steal and lie and scam. i think we would be better off without them.

Glitter - please bring this up - I think it is a fantastic idea and one that would easily be implemented without changing game mechanics. I really encourage you to take a look at it.

Ah'd like to know if they plan to incorporate some form of voice chat for Vanadiel. X-Box 360 users will be able to use this. Ah don't want to have voice chat in the cities. (700 people in lower jeuno shouting for teleport? No, thanks) but maybe pt voice? It'd be somewhat easier sometimes in like dynamis where people need to coordinate things and getting tells from 4 blm dynamis virgins gets annoying sometimes.

LOL @ AGM's post.

I would also like better search abilities. Will we ever be able to just get results like: Just people seeking, multiple jobs for people? Thanks

Dude, THF's 2 hour is perfect for them. But I do think that they need another Job Ability or Trait. One more Sneak Attack type move at lvl 75 or +crit JT.

I'd like to know about any other jobs that might come. I was heard from ppl that played the Xbox 360 beta version that it isn't all that. They said it looked like PS2 with better drawrate. Supposedly the graphics wasn't [much] better and it wasn't worth the download.

Oh yeah, ask to see if SE is gonna start offering food stamps and welfare for the new ppl coming with Xbox 360...

Couple of questions:
1) is there any plan to counter the massive increase in inflation over the past month? When prices increase 200%, 300%, and in some cases 400%, in less than 3 weeks, there is an obvious problem.

2) Is there any plan to increase Mog House safe/storage space? With the number of rare/ex items and equipment recently released, storage space is at a premium. I currently have 58 Rare/Ex items, and 12 Ex items, that's over half of my storage space (70 out of 130 total) I'm constantly juggling items between characters.

Will food effects ever be displayed directly in game? I'd like to see a window for food simular to equipment. I personally can live with out the irrelivant flavor text. (A level 97 taco is NOT a *simple* snack.)

I like this idea but most players already use ventrillo/teamspeak. I think it'd be great for PS2 players, maybe they could make a system some what like ventrillo straight onto your playonline/ffxi.
Question is would the PS2 be able to support it? Probably not, I doubt it has any capability of using a headset.
