am i the only one that thinks an LS like this is a good idea? everyone seems to have their panties in a bunch about this whole thing, which makes me think this should happen even more. (most of all i just want to see it happen so i can see if it even works. kind of like some ****** up FF sociology experiment i guess)

i completely agree. ive never understood the unwritten "code of conduct" between linkshells. i hear too many people say they have to do something because "thats the way other HNM linkshells do it". i personally cant see a problem with stealing an HNM that goes yellow or being an all around pain in the ***( i would never do it because i understand how angry i would be if someone did it to me. that still doesnt make it wrong per se. just a mean thing to do.) my feeling has always been "if the game allows you to do something, (stealing HNMs, slapping people, etc.) then human nature will take over and someone will do it. same thing applies to the whole JP NO LIKEY THE EXAMINE thing. i could give a damn about JP culture and whether or not they think im rude. the game lets me check people so ill do it when i feel like it =(. dont get the wrong idea about me though, i dont do it to **** people off. well until that JP starts switching gear on me everytime i check him. then i make it my mission to see what cool *** gear hes hiding (even if its not cool XD). but on the other side of the argument, i can see how these certain rules prevent confusion and help everyone have a good time playing. all in all i would just like to see something different from the norm and see how it throws everything off kilter. change is always good in my opinion.

PS sorry for the long post but im at work and trying to kill some time. and working to kill time is like.... shooting someone to prevent death. IT MAKES NO SENSE lol

why would you get rated down for having an opinion? =( the only reason i would ever rate anyone down (which i have attempted but apparently it doesnt work if youre not a scholar or some crap) is when theyre being a complete jerkoff aka goldenshower, whoever that meatwad guy is, and myself on occasion.

You are right it is certain players and it always gets resolved to some extent. Some Shells may not like eachother and may even talk trash about eachother, but they will still abide by these unwritten rules. Also Agm has a choice not to follow them at all, but I will tell you this after enough incidents of these hapenings you will see every HNM shell start to band together and treat them like the gilsellers shells are currently treated.

Guys, I do not think 1 person said the LS can't be made or said you can't do that!!!!!!! so you guys don't have to justify anything. I think I was the only person who said something negative and I said it was White Trash to make a LS aimed at pissing off other LS's and other people.

I pretty much expressed my thoughts on AGM's other thread about starting a LS. I would just add that the "unwritten code of conduct" exists because it allows us to "play nice" together. It's not enforceable, per se, but breaching ettiquite and annoying people for the hell of it will get you blisted and hurt your chances of cooperating with others later on down the line. I agree that certain things like the /check "protocol" is kind of stupid, but other things like not stealing mining/harvesting points exists based on common courtesy. I find it sad that certain people feel they have be misfits and ruin the game for others in order to have fun.

i heard the song in my head that whole time too...

My advice is to any new HNMLS that want to thrive is to try and get along and play it cool. Being a "pain" at a HNM camp does nothing to help anyone IMO. With so many players reaching higher levels these HNM will be camped by more and more people. Cooperation will be important or it will be an MPK cluster f**k at every pop site. Just a suggestion.
