Could they be using the "emergency mantenance" as new staff training and kick us off so it would be easier ? Because they will be a wave a xboxers joing FFXI in a few months.
i think all the GMs use maintence to go and play in peace.

they is no way it could be 3 hrs I think the staff is either training new employees r being given some time on ffxi without us being in the way. They phrase it as "emergency maintenc" to cover up what they really do so we wont swap the company with complaints and rants.
People will swamp them with complaints and rants regardless of the meaning behind the maintenance. They pay for these servers to be maintained, and the second they take them down to try and improve.. ******** ensues.
The main ffxi forum is a joke, people making petitions, demanding refunds, crying like a baby. The server is down, and no amount of ******** will change that fact.

Actually we're paying for all aspects of the game, even maintenance. In a roundabout way, that technically means we're also paying to get kicked off.

It was becouse for the first time mainence ended and the Molberger NM spawn time was within a time frame that I knew about and could hunt on the weekends, SE can not afford to make getting 24hr spaws available to people who work 8-5 jobs and can't leave the PC on all day to find out time of death.
