Such a decision...Follow
I am having a real hard time deciding between two jobs. Paladin and Dark knight. I like being Dark Knight and all, but I get too much criticism from other people on how to play my job, I haven't tried Paladin yet, but when I was a WAR many of my party members told me to become a PLD. I'm not sure which to choose, I've checked both of the forums for each job, and they are great in each of their own ways. But could my fellow Shiva players help me decide which to become?
If you're getting tired of a drk, you could always just start up the pld and see if you like it. (no loss in trying) If you like it, hey you've got a new job that you're happy with. If you don't, you will always have your drk to fall back on.
Everybody has their favorites, I think the best way to find out is through personal experience though.
It will also give you a break from the drk criticism you get, and maybe if/when you revert back, you'll feel refreshed from that and not mind it as much after the break.

Without a doubt, i'd bring them both to level 25. That should put in you n00b land valkrum, and in the land of "almost know what you're doing" qufim. but level 25 gives you more abilities, and really gives you a view of what those jobs have to offer. while you're at it, bring thief to 25. everyone should. you'll be glad for it down the road.
My rng is currently 61 and im so sick and tired of taking everyones ******** when i complain when a pty isnt as good as it can/should be.
Ranger and Ninja are the ONLY jobs that have to pay for exp constantly, thus costing us a lot of money so we want the best party possible. So when we say something about the party and the exp they get right on us saying we are cheap asses and need to not level that job if we dont wanna pay. This is NOT the case at all.
So here is why i wont play Ranger for a while.
I got invited into a pty of 61-64 (me being the only 61) in Boyada for Skimmers and Steelshell. That should have been enough to make me not go cuz the mobs are way too high for me. But the Bard assured me everythin would be fine. Even when i would go on miss streaks he said its ok were still killing and you're not doing too bad.
After 2 horrible hours of exp we managed 3 deaths and 3k exp. When i started to say something about the exp here came the remarks. Most of them being from the bard that told me it was ok. "Your to low level for here. You need to be in Valley of Sorrows for another level or two. "Why are you missing so much, god you suck"
Bottom line is I payed almost 20k for 3k exp in 2 hours. Its not cuz i cant afford it, its just i dont like wasting my gil. So after this i decided im done for a long time.
Right now im leveling thf (27atm) and im loving it. Im going all the way to at least 45 before i even consider leveling rng again.
So to answer your question, just ignore those asshats and take up something else until youre ready to go back. Thats what im doing and im loving it so far.

ya thats the only thing keeping me from taking RNG to top. drk sucked waiting for parties so I stopped at 60, and RNG was so fun lvling to 30, and i got pt invites even with out seek on right when i'd log on. That'd be good and all but I think i'd burn through all my gil in crappy parties.
btw thanks for that skill up pt awhile back lol
Back to the orginal post.. do pld, always pt invites for pld cause they're the best tank for most situations, and drk has to compete with all the other DD melee.

saying pld is the ebst tank in most situations is going a bit overboard. A good nin can tank well enough and takes far elss dmg then a pld does :P
Ok ok , do NOT start the pld vs nin crap in this forum. I will be forced to mpk everyone here if it happens :D.
