Why don't I ask for help in FFXI?Follow

I've been playing FFXI for over 2 years now, and have yet to get a job to lv75, and I've also been in far to many LSs, I dropped them all because I'm not a point fanatic, and when I ask for help, I don't expect to have to do something else that's not even part of my needed help to get that help. I help without asking for something in return, happen to say you're helping and getting a little back in return, you get told, you don't offer help for anything in return, well the next "Alekz" I may pass that needs a raise, or calls for help, ain't getting it from me. Bendaire always helps, but I ain't helping anyone if I ask for help, I want to do what I asked for help with, not someone needing some Black Mage's testamony, where I die twice and still stuck at war58. I really would like some help in this game, but in 2 years and everyone I've helped is now 75 and doesn't even notice I'm not on thier friends list. Xbox reinstall isn't supose to mess up playonline mail, but it did. Am thinking of quiting, with war58/drg42/sam41/whm+nin40/dnc+blm+thf37/mnk36/pld25 this I'm lvling kind of /smn20/drk+blu19/rdm+bst+rdm18/brd17 haven't really found that job I want lv75, I would like to do endgame as a war/whm but that's nvr going to happen.

I didn't actually take any names of my friends list, was trying to clear some known names of who I knew quit off, then had my 360 do 3 red lights, when I installed on the new xbox360 but old drive I crashed caouldn't get on, when I finally got it fixed (3 months later) I found my friends list, and all saved massages gone, and only saving grace was I backed up my macro book and map marks to the server, did loose much on that since it was a 3 month old backup before the crash. Right now, I'd love to get my war58's AF armor and maybe get it to 65 and the g4 cap out of my hair. need a lv75 job so I can farm the needed stuff for getting my crafts up, only have 1 near 30 and 2 including it past 10 unless you count fishing it's `12 lol. Anyway I've gotten all the game updates, even the security token. Love the moogle satchel. but I haven't even gotten half the original game finsished nor can I even start zilard missions. I'm getting bored with ppl in the game, not the game itself. I'd really like to know this game better, but after 2 years I'm still vary much a noob for anything past lv50 or rank 5. hell I can't get missions in Whitegate because I flagged a NM quest with that kangaroo in white gate, now all it says is about that damn NM and nothing about the Golden Knight.

Also I can nvr remember how to spell names while in the game, or remember who offered help, but like I said in my before, I am rather relucktent to ask for help. I can't type while rushing headlong into the unknown, and I really hate being rushed in a game, I'd really liove to be able to role play and know it's story.
