I've been playing FFXI from Oct. 2003 on Rag and I received LM-17 notice right after the day I bought the new add-on senario.

After I called them, they said I was involved in RMT activities which is nonsense. They refused to tell what kind of RMT activies and refused to show me any evidence. Before they banned me, there was no email,no warning or anything.

Not only me but also a couple of my friends were banned too. They are all innocent players who played FFXI for many years.
There might be a chance that we played with some RMT in the past, but we didn't know they were RMT. It's not like they have their name printed as "i'm RMT". If that is why SE banned our account, then that's not fair at all.

Here is one of the agreement that SE has on it's official website

3.2 Termination.
(a) Your PlayOnline user account and any rights you may have under this Agreement (including those you may have under any other agreement related to your use of PlayOnline) will immediately and automatically terminate upon your breach of any provision of this Agreement, including (without limitation) your violation of any Rule.
(b) You may terminate this Agreement at any time by canceling your PlayOnline user account and by ceasing all use of PlayOnline and all related services. If your PlayOnline user account is terminated by SEI for any reason, you will not be able to reactivate the terminated user account again.
(c) SEI reserves the right to terminate PlayOnline Service in whole or in part for any reason with or without prior notice.
(d) SEI MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE ANY PLAYONLINE ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME, WITH ANY REASON OR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE.

the last one sounds way too domineering. If only i'd known SE had such policy i wound't even have played this game.

I simply just dont feel safe when playing this game with this rule who knows if someday i will get suspended for no reason.

If you were wrongly banned then I am very sorry. But any MMO whose lawyers don's suck is going to have a EULA that includes such a "ban for any reason, or no reason" clause. They're gonna get some decisions wrong and don't want to end up in court over those. Still, it's terribly sad for the unfairly banned.

well, guess I can take some comfort in not being the only one this happened too. Tried to log in the other day and got the same thing. I love the fact that they don't even attempt to listen and/or rectify the situation. I can honestly say I will never recommend this game to anyone ever again. Any company that's not even willing to try and work with their customers, especially one who's pretty much been around since the game started, is not one I want my friends to have to deal with either. I played this game honestly and also kept many of my friends honest when they were frustrated and talked about buying gil and using cheats. I find it beyond maddening that I played it right, did my best to keep others playing right and this is how it all works out. Well for those of you still at it, enjoy. To SE all I have to say is t(-.-t)

Not saying I don't believe you, BUT, you aren't very convincing when you defend yourself when it comes to being accused of associating w/RMTs. I've watched plenty of court TV. Even my friend denied RMTing on WoW but later admitted to it. Come up with a more convincing defense...
