We constantly see many negative posts concerning ffxi, I would like to share the positive things that occurred.

**************positive thing #1*********************

After failing to accomplish zm4 two previous times with pickup parties, some people in my linkshell decided to attempt to complete this stage today.

We had 11 people begin the journey. Of those 11 people, we had 6 people who required zm4. I would like to offer my appreciation to Bobbq, Kainomega, Demonica, Snowkitten and Silverblur for your great assistance and expertise in guiding the expedition safely and confidently through the Temple of Ug. and Den of Rancor.

The following people were the individuals who required zm4: Caitlyn, Nekojill, Shinma, Morgoth, Majinsean, Vanyal (me)

Instead of sneaking/invising our way through the temple, we fought our way to the paintbrush room to enter the Den of Rancor.

As we entered the Den of Rancor, I was happy to note that everyone who could not invis/sneak themself brought the necessary prism powder/silent oil with them.

We went to the altar to obtain the rancor flame, and unfortunately we gained aggro from the bomb. Fortunately, we had 3 bst75 and a smn75 in the alliance to deal with the issue>>>the two bombs self destructed for 3k and 1k damage respectively and killed the pets and the avatar that was summoned.

The alliance then headed to the Sacrificial Chamber to light the lanterns and enter the chamber for the bcnm. The mobs were safely and quickly cleared away and we entered the Sacrificial Chamber.

The Sacrificial Chamber Bcnm battle restricts the battle to a single party with a maximum of 6 members. The first battle group consisted of:

Bobbq (pld7x)
Kainomega (smn7x)
Caitlyn (whm6x)
Shinma (drk6x)
Morgoth (rdm6x)
Vanyal (bst7x)

The strategy that was attempted was having the Rdm sleep the tonberry blm, the bst call CourierCarrie to tank the tonberry smn, ignore the smn avatar, and the rest of us try to fix the tonberry thief's wagon first.

The battle went fairly well and we cleared in 6min:11 seconds with no deaths. I finally got to see the cutscenes that moved some of the ffxi storyline along.

That was pretty kool.

**************positive thing #2*********************

After the battle was over we exited to the temple of ug. and we headed back to the Den of Rancor for the bcnm fight for the people who still required the bcnm battle.

The positive thing is there is a lever on the inside of the gate of the Sacrificial Chamber that will open the gate; and consequentially, we didn't have to relit the 4 torches again.

Second battle contained:
Bobbq (pld7x)
Kainomega (smn7x)
Caitlyn (whm6x)
Shinma (drk6x)
Nekojill (rdm6x)
Majinsean (rdm6x)

The bcnm was cleared safely and the 6 people who needed zm4 were able to complete it in two battles with the help of some very nice people. /cheer nice people on!

**************positive thing #3*********************

Before everyone showed up for the zm4 run, I was killing wespes in the attempt to obtain the larvae to spawn death from above (DFA). I was literally 0/100 on the larvae dropping on previous excursions to the temple of ug.

Today would be different. On the 2nd wespe I killed, I obtained the larvae :)

I later join up in Demonica's and Snowkitten's party and on the first wespe Demonica kills, she gets a larvae.

We later spawn DFA twice and Demonica and I obtain a hornetsneedle, respectively.

**************positive thing #4*********************

After the zm4 alliance breaksup, Shinma/ Nekojill/ Majinsean/ Demonica/ Snowkitten/ Vanyal(me) decide to go to Beadeaux and try to help Shinma gain the Quadav Mage Blood for his Drk AF3 battle.

How hard can it be? I can honestly tell you, I started losing hope we would ever see the drop shinma needed ... lol.

After killing Topaz Quadav for about 3 hours, the item we seeked finally dropped. I had to rub my eyes to verify it.

Shinma was happy and we were all happy we could help out our friend.

Do you have any good and positive ffxi stories you want to share?
