Last night I logged onto the game for the first time in almost 3 months. I then proceded to give about 90% of my gil and items to my buddy, Amalasan (total value aproximately 6-7 mil). Before that I saw a Galkan Samurai in Jeuno in full AF1. I remember what a triumph it was when I got mine. I gave him all of my food, an Omokage, a Gold Muskateers Uchigatana, and some other random gear. The kid could not stop thanking me. I think last night, giving away everything I had worked towards for a year and a half, was the most fun I had ever had in that game.

I will miss a lot of you and I really did enjoy my time in the game. I will always remember the fun I had playing the first MMO ever for me, even as I delve into my new passion, WoW. I can't even begin to name all of the players who helped and taught me and are just generally great people. I will miss all of you, even the ones who would like to forget me :-).

Peace out, peeps. And always fight the good fight! Hope to see some of you on WoW! >:-)

Thanks Boog-man. I'll miss you a lot. You are definitely one of the good ones. Y'all should listen up when Boog speaks. He knows what he's talking about.

Yeah Shamens are ALOT of fun. I'm enjoying my moomoo have you tried out the emotes /train /chicken /moo /dance /rude yet?
BFD is on the elf side so I dont know how easily you can get there. It has fantastic drops though, the Nagas & stuff drop like 1-4 silver each as well as good items. Ive only been able, with help from Arthos/Gavion to get past the 2nd "HNM". Dungeons are alot of fun btw you can "Ballista" at lvl 10 sign up is in orgrimmar & ironforge. that is how you earn your titles "Private" etc
****how embarassing is it to find out that the goodbye message you sent to a pal ingame via POL wasn't recieved due to them selling their account >.<

I hope you did not leave because WoW seems better :D

I went to WoW when it came out but after levelling three characters to 60 in 6 months or so, I sold up my account and reactivated my FFXI account.

Of course, I had also had my account stripped bare (literally the only thing I had left was my Conquest Points lol). I had told my wife she could have all my stuff and was surprised to learn that she sold me up for about 5 mil. lol.

WoW is a blast but doesn't have the staying power of FFXI.

Good luck though in whatever you do.

Cheers

P.S Ever seen a naked level 60 thf/rng farming? Well that was me for a while until I could afford some basic BST gear heh...

I like that with WoW you can get deployed or whatever and it isnt as big of a deal. You dont have to wait hours on end for a 15 minute party. I think there are plenty of Pros and Cons to FFXI & WoW....but while they are both MMORPGs i think that is about where the similarities end. `
ah well Mazel Tov...come to the darkside..WoW
