I never expected this thread to take off like it did o_o
I updated the rate-ups from my last post and also have a few more to add. Along with Draugue, a very fine paladin I mentioned before, if you team him up in a 3 party alliance with Xplicitone, and Kagesaru, you can have anything you desire in this game.

Xplicione, the second Tank in my ls's indestructable front line. :P He uses the magic of ninjutsu to preform some of the finest tanking this side of Vana D, and did I mention he looks great doing it *drools* Sorry I had to leave Wednsday during our 6 bcnm runs, but he is also one great event organizer. From the near perfect bcnm set up which allowed us practilly to take little or no damage, he was actually on time! (take note you other members >_>)

the last but not least(except in size) tank would be Kagesaru, the little cute ball of metal that absorbs damage like a sponge. He can also dish out the punishment with his excellent monk job.

As for non-tanks:

Aurani who may not be as useful as the indestructable trio, does provide our ls with hours of comedy and laughter with his goofy nature. He's the token goof of the group, but when times get hairy, he can {Raging Fists} with the best of them. ^^

Markos, a recent arrival to our ls, has already made his mark as being another excellent mage, when Liadel isn't around. One of Xplictone's buddies, they are great together as a team, and I really apreciated their help with the bcnms and exoray mold.

Also, Melissante, the red mage who never sleeps, and master chemist, lumberjack, and blacksmith. One who is always willing to help out a poor gal, with anything from letting me skillup with that mighty fine Jr. Musk. Tuck +2, excess bolts from crafting, as well as making me a HQ katana when the AH was out, and then letting me have it free of charge. I just need one more level to break it in. :(

Those are just a few more fine people on Ragnarok, worthy of reconition. Honorable mentions include:

Tiyha
Shanda
Zerochiten(he sure got mentioned alot o.O)
Trihouse
Sirlink
Artica
and probably a few more which I'll have to add later.

Well, I guess I need to get ~20 more level fairly fast so I can help someone. Good reputation is generally a good thing, and hopefully I attain it someday. ^^

Even at extremely low levels it's very possible to help someone. New people join the server every day and are also new to the game or genre in general. Helping them find locations in town, sharing secrets of where to buy stuff cheap, showing them how to use the auction house all go a long way to helping someone enjoy the game. Mid levels there is always helping people with missions and starter quests as well as helping them understand party dynamics or even the role that they are expected to play in a party, especially if you are familiar with that job. When I'm leveling a new job and hit the dunes, I'll often look for a good mix of those who don't already have a sub job and try to help them a long.

Well, I do help a lot of people out. I have gotten the subjob items for people on countless occasions, I have helped people with advanced job quests, and I have helped people with missions whenever possible.

The thing is that I have little luck that these people will come to these forums and post in these kinds of topics, which can be a semi-good way of gaining a reputation. As right now I will die when I level down (to 53 when quite a bit of my equip is 54), I am kinda hesitant to help people with things like M9 and M10.

What I meant by gaining 20 levels (and would be ~75) is that I will be able to help a lot more of the hardcore people and possibly be slightly more of a common name. No, I doubt I will ever be a "Zerochitan", but still. Helping someone duo camp a slightly harder NM would be fun, but as I said, gaining levels needs to occur. Due to my lack of gil, I havnt partied in over 3 months for exp as my PLD. That was mainly due to getting my WHM to 25 for Sneak+Invisable (to help people mostly, but it will come in handy for coffers) and NIN/Tenshodo fame for Promyvion reasons.

Once I can get back to PLD, I will love FFXI a ton more (even though I have found a lot of new, cool things while leveling low-level jobs).

Oh I definately agree with you. That's one of the main reasons why I'm pushing to level so much. It's just a great way to enjoy the game. Main reason why I want 75 so bad is so I can help other summoners get their af and stuff like that. But while I agree the forums are a great way to build reputation, such a small percentage of us come here, and I've heard stories of amazing people in game even more then on forums. Good deeds get around and people remember those who are nice to them. Aaaand, since you mentioned your level, I'll also bring up a bunch of us are doing G2 tonight, so if you want to get it done, send me (Tif) a tell and let me know. Probably won't go til 10pm eastern or so, but earlier the tell the better so we can organize who's going to be in what parties and how to best help everyone get through this with the least chance of death.

I've met many people travelling through vana'diel, some have been nice and some have not. some have made this game worth playing, and it's because of them that I'm following this thread.

first and foremost I'd like to thank Zaryun, for being the greatest dark knight I know, the best friend and supporter. I've never known you to say no to anyone who's asked for help and if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have started playing or continued this long.

osobo - the greatest bearbo in the world! thank you for protecting me and sploring with me and joining that party with me and kakatub on the selbina boat ^_^

the bloodguard linkshell for always looking out for one another (vardy, chele, rich, sam, darky, torp, ash, breth, xiox, kakatub, molay, volcos, atolm - whether you're around or not, thank you for knowing me and letting me know you - and the newer members I don't know so well, some have been inspirational, some I just need to know better ^_^)

chrisi, dyn, trixi, syb - thank you for making this game amazing at the best of times, and more than a good laugh at the worst.

(I have loads more people to name but I'm lazy and you should all know who you are anyway ^_^)

And to the people who joined the group to help someone with his lich paper yesterday, you guys are truly what finest is all about. All of you were super sweet and I wish I had everyone's correct spelling of their name with me at work. I'm glad I went a long, otherwise I would have missed out on the opportunity to meet some of the best people on the server. I'm just sorry we didn't get the paper.

Phrost, Glassknight, and any other Ragnarokian Samurai that post over on the Samurai forum. You guys are a constant source of information and I appreciate our chats when we pass each other in Jeuno. Thanks for being good friends and helping out this poor, sometimes misguided samurai. And to all my other samurai friends who /check my armor and say "Oh your armor is just fine, you are doing well" even if I don't have an Emporer's Hairpin, Leaping Boots, and Sniper's Rings. Thank you for not being uber stuck up and saying if I don't have them I am a disgrace and shouldn't be running around embarrassing the good samurai name.
And my darling friend who shall remain nameless for lending me her Ochi Kotes. You are a sweetheart and I promise to clean the crab blood off when I am done with them. (I would say who it is but last time her name was leaked she got mobbed by people asking her for things.) You rock you hottie patottie mithra you!

/sniffle That gets me right here *points at heart area* I cant speak for the rest of us sam's on here, but anytime you have a question, feel free to ask me. I may not get to respond immediately, but I will respond :)

On the note of equip... and this is for everyone! Dont stress having the best gear (especially with prices now >:\ ) I have fairly decent equipment myself and I've still seen other sams with less uber gear i've pt'd with on par with me hit per hit. You dont have much further to go and then you will be focusing on +str items and not so much accuracy. (Although, when i miss a tachi: gekko.. i get really angry lol) It's all in how you play period! the drk in my set is equally as equipped as i am and i still out-TP him repeatedly (Check Ashylarry's post a couple above Queenies. Bombadil is my set pld), and i chain with him and the pld every fight.

Edited: So i could /slap Bombadil just cuz he deserves it :)

Crizoc- A really nice BST (last time I saw) who saved my butt from a high arrgo and he's always ready to lend a hand

Xiron- A VE camping buddy of mine. I got the hairpin for his little bro and now he's going to get one for me! (No good deed goes unrewarded)

Sekani mentioned Anviel for something super sweet he did, and I have to say, he went beyond the extra mile and did something similar for me. We aren't exactly sharing what it is so he doesn't get bugged to death, but I will say it's way more then any linkshell member should do for another. Thank you Anv for proving time and again that friends are what make this game so enjoyable.

I just found out about this posts and feel some people didnt get mentions that they deserve so I started an account just to post. First of I wanna mention the obvious people.

Tif,Crafty,Lenelle - 3 of the funnest ppl to be around in game I'm damn glad I met you guys. Would be pretty boring otherwise. And theres nothing I wouldnt help you guys out with if it was in my grasp.

Jevyn,Jyoshi,Suikan,Toyer- These 4 got me started in the game and have helped me tremendously with various things throughout the game. Glad I can count on them when things start to go bad.

Alphire,Vaga and the rest of OOSG- For my comedy relief and some good times.

Dyer- Without dyer I would have never made it through my first week. He was the only one in Bastok willing to explain to me how to get world pass for my gf how to make money and where to lvl. I wouldnt be here without him

and last but not least Untamedheart - Damn we did 30 lvls togethers to bad you got impatient :P jk. But without untamed this game would have gotten boring quick I can always rely on him to help me out and find something to do other then the normal grind.
