Pretty much as the thread title suggestions, Im a returning player who is starting new on Phoenix. I haven't played in....forever. I'd like to meet some people who can give me a helpful tip or two, or possibly a group to play with. I'm trying to become a decent WHM, but there are no parties in Dunes for me to join so I'm stuck at 12 right now and not sure what to do. I'd love any helpful advice, tips, or even a guide to progressing, otherwise I can see myself being stuck for a while.

My ingame name is Dagonseverin, I've started in Bastok and I remain completely clueless as to what to do. :)

Thanks in advance

Hey Dagonseverin, I've been going through a bit of the same. There really aren't many people around the beginning areas, and the Dunes are way empty. I found that solo-ing in the Highlands near the crag has really helped get started once around level 10 or so, and always make sure you take on a training regime for the bonus exp. They're really trying to make things easier for low levels nowadays. If you need anything in game, send me a tell if I'm online. My main character's name is Aarkhum.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Hey Johnnyriot/Aarkhum. I've hit 40 WHM since my previous post. The hot spot seems to be in Gusgen Mines. I was able to get into a constant alliance in there and it was very fast. The exp has now seemed to die off (started slowing down around 35) and its going to leave you a bit behind in gil. Once again I find myself stuck. Not sure how to make a profit as a WHM without being able to teleport people, and I don't have the money to buy my teleports. I'm working on figuring out what to do next (Making gil and finding a updated leveling area), but first thing is definitely to complete my trek to Jeuno from Bastok (Sigh...).

Let me know if you have any ideas! (Also I tried to message you in-game but you were offline at the time.)

Ha! I had literally just logged out after being in that party/alliance at the mines entrance! Will definitely have to send a friend invite next time I log in.

Dagonseverin! I knew your name looked familiar. I partied a few times with you in Gusgen if I remember correctly. I started about 4-5 day ago (since this post) myself. Also, a returning player from waaaay back. If you need any extra (though low-level) help, send me a tell. :)

I just started Bastok 2-3, and I'm about ready to head to the last part in Windurst (once I finish DRG job unlock first anyway). I was thinking about soloing the bosses, but I'd rather have a group with me if possible. If you haven't completed it, maybe we can finish it together and/or with others?

If interested, my in-game name is Alsianne. Normally I'm on late night 9pm-2am weekdays.

See you in game. :)
