the idea of XXXjob-ls died out about 2 years before DNC was introduced, so i'm going to go ahead and guess that no, there aren't any DNC ls on phoenix.

I haven't seen any, and with the quality of newer dancers I'm seeing..I wouldn't want to be in an DNC ls to be quite honest lol.

Imagine the group activities though... they could pick a day and do a choreography-faithful reenactment of the Thriller video in the middle of Whitegate. :)

I guess I should have been more specific, not like a dnc only ls, but one that has a few experienced dnc who can give advice to newer dnc or sharing tips etc.

I think that shows there are alot of inexperienced DNC who could use a little help and direction.

uh, i'm sure most of the DNCs if not all of them have linkshells... are you actually asking for a mentor/offering to be a mentor?

As for a mentor, well my dnc is currently lvl 60, there are things I can share, and theres still more I can learn. I dont doubt that ppl have other ls, I have 2 ls i'm active in that have little or no experience with high lvl DNC, and more that I can count of previous ls that had a lack of experience as well.

#9Lecan, Posted: Oct 07 2008 at 12:59 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) So, what you're saying is you have no clue why you made this thread. If you really want a higher level DNC to teach you things and touch you inappropriately at night, just /sea all dnc 75 and /t them all. If you want to create a shell that people can join and talk about the trials and tribulations of dancing, good luck.

I made the thread was because I was wondering if there were any ls that existed that had ppl who played experienced dnc. Its not a big deal and I dont really care one way or the other if there are, I'm not loosing sleep at night.

That really contributed a lot to the thread.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone starts one somewhere down the line. BM on Cerberus is one of the most successful shells ever, and MithraPride is a massive group. If there is enough interest in a Dancer-only shell, it can be successful.

Good luck finding whatever you are seeking. I just hope that some of the ruder people in this thread don't speak for the majority of the server.

Well, it contributed more than well-wishing. The OP contradicted him/herself about what the point of the thread was, and I pointed out simple ways to get either end accomplished.

Your post was dripping with venom and contributed nothing. It really wasn't even that funny. That's why I said what I said. There was absolutely no call for your attitude, and it saddens me that someone can ask a very specific and on-topic question, and get a reply like "so basically you have no clue why you made this thread" and "if you want a DNC to touch you inappropriately at night" and "if you want to talk about the trials and tribulations of dancing, good luck".

And the OP didn't so much contradict himself as change his intention in the face of the ridicule he was getting for asking the question (see your posts, and some of the others). I don't blame him one bit for changing his position.

As Benjamin Franklin wrote, God helps those who help themselves. The first step to helping yourself is having an idea of your end goal. Actually, the first step to having others help you is having an idea of your end goal. If you still want others to help, you then have to communicate that goal to others. Far too many people expect too much without enough thought to effectively enable help. Fewer still actually explore options and try them out on their own.

I do not pretend that my posts in this thread were friendly, but from what the OP has demonstrated in this thread, there is little to no chance of him/her achieving goals (and again, what goal, exactly?) without significant hand-holding. I cut straight to the nearly inevitable end result. Harsh, yes, but that's just the way things are.

i'm not sure what the most charming things about your posts in this thread are... i'll go with "misguided internet white knight silliness".

the question was "any DNC ls" and the answer is "no". OP got what they wanted. people who need to turn every interaction into some kind of emotional production are such a joke.

p.s. i think i do speak for the majority of the server when i say that job-linkshells stopped happening in like 2005, except the stray BST linkshell (which is really an event linkshell anyway). i don't know if that makes you sad, but it happens to just be true. myself, i have no emotional attachment to the question or its answer.

I wasnt trying to achieve a goal, I had a simple question, if there were linkshells that were dnc friendly...or if there was an intrest "you have no clue why you made the thread" The simple question I started the thread with

is pretty on topic. I never once was rude, so I dont know why people feel they have to answer a simple question with unneeded hostility..

Gaining information is a goal. Starting a linkshell is a goal. Finding and joining a linkshell is a goal. I hope you can find the common connection and extrapolate the real message.
