I would first like to say congrats. I would also like to point out that this was not an entirely NA defeat. Although W7 is mostly NA players there are several JP players in that fight that have had the game much longer than NA.

BTW can I get a raise in Valkrum? :P

Several JP in the shell/alliance or no, you gotta admit this is a huge accomplishment in the parts of NA on Phoenix.

Love you guys, congrats again :D

Any time you defeat Kirin it is a great accomplishment, and doing so takes great teamwork. However if this was accomplished by all NA players, or at least players that have only been on since NA release then it's even more of an accomplishment. I am pretty sure that several of those players have kill Kirin before, and those are from the JP release.

The title of the thread is misleading, it points towards W7 being all NA, which it isn't and that an all NA team killed Kirin, which they didn't.

Don't get me wrong, it's freaking awesome that you guys killed it, and I am very happy for you. But, the topic is misleading and should be better defined.

I disagree that the title is misleading at all. Had it been titled "Wildseven became the first ALL-NA group to defeat Kirin on Phoenix" your point would stand. There is nothing misleading in the title at all, the group was comprised mostly of NA players, and these mostly NA players were the first to beat Kirin on Phoenix. :-[

LOL first ", and these mostly NA players were the first to beat Kirin on Phoenix" this was not the first time Kirin was defeated on Phoenix. Wildseven is a mix of NA and JP release players, they should be proud they won, **** I would be too and getting help from people that already killed him seems smart. Just let me know when you defeat it with an entire group of NA release players and I will be even more thrilled for you ^^!

As for being jealous, yes I am jealous I have not fought Kirin yet, but I also have not taken actions to do that yet. I will in the future. Am I jealous Wildseven killed it before my LS? Not at all, Wildseven is comprised of much more experienced players(quite few have had since JP release). I am glad Cravy and Sectorseven and the other W7 players that are NA release got Kirin. And wish you even more luck in the future! Remember, Kirin is by no means a omfg I didn't claim it type of mob ;).

someone always gotta turn a thread into a flame thread. yes there are jpn in our LS, there is jpn in every NA HNMLS. and i didnt say we were the first NA HNMLS to beat Kirin. cause we are about 60% NA 40% JPN. but that still doesnt take away the fact that 13 or 14 NA people were the first ones to defeat Kirin on this server. get the **** off this thread if your going to be *** about something small like that. and thanks for the comment also^o^

Ok what the **** now...

Salty gets bashed and rated down just because he's trying to make a point? What kind of disgraceful players are you?
I have a lot of respect for every player on this server, Wild Seven included, and I congratulate you for your accomplishments, that Kirin fight must make you really proud.

But being proud of something that big doesn't give you the right to think you're superior to someone, and you still owe that person respect and recognition. Salty DID bring a good point up though... on the several screenshots that Cravy posted (which are nice btw), you can easily spot a LOT of Japanese players, some of which we know have played for a very long time and have some of the top notch equipment in the same (see Sevenstar who owns a Kraken Club and Kirin's Osode).

Just take a look at that Searing Light damage picture..

Satire
Leizer (not sure)
Farah
Reonharuto
Hary
Sevenstar
Kraus
Fairladyz

That's 8 japanese people on a 18 people alliance, not counting the others that would be around watching the fight.. to me that doesn't sound much like a NA linkshell ;) Cravy, that's not 13-14 NA people, that would be 9-10 :)

I'm pretty sure a crapload of players from this list have fought Kirin once before.. so please, before bashing Salty down and making him look like a bubble popper, just try to understand what he means.

I'm sure he didn't mean to offend you, on the contrary, just like myself, he's very proud of your accomplishments, and wished you only the best.

Wow! Congrats to everyone who did this. I've seen a few of the people who killed Kiren running around on the server.
Congrats on getting Kiren's pole.
Keep up the hard work!

/wave Boumbo !!!

The whole business about whether or not there were Japanese in the party doesn't really matter. Just because they fought Kirin before doesn't mean they'll havea better chance every time following. It all depends on the team adn the team work as mentioned. As for the Jpn player count, It is to my knowledge that often players are brought and subbed in and out of alliance during Kirin fight. Just something I've read from other's Kirin adventures in posts etc.

THat's So **** cool though. I feel like I'm on the last level of "Zombies Ate my Neighbors" (Sega Genisis? anyone? awesome game!)

Hi everyone. =)

I rarely post to the message boards here (but I usually do read them). I just wanted to thank you all for the congrats.

Personally, I'm proud to be a member of Wild7, especially after defeating Kirin. Personally, it doesn't matter to me whether or not we were the first, or whether or not we are a NA group. Everyone worked extremely hard ... it was a tough battle ... but we pulled through.

To address some other concerns--as Cravy said, we are about 60% NA and 40% JP, and that is by choice. We all have fun together, and that is all that is really important. For the record, however, even for many of our JP members, it was their first time killing Kirin as well (at least, it was judging from the fact that they asked to be in the final alliance for the title too ... unfortunately, we didn't have enough spots in the final alliance to accomodate everyone who wanted a title ;;). Also, keep in mind that there were 30 people participating in the battle. The 18 member list at the time is just a glimpse of the people who were switching in and out depending on their status. Either way, I personally feel it was no less of an accomplishment. I really don't like to brag, but I felt it was necessary to address a few issues that came up here.

On a related note, I just wanted to thank Manatra for her help. Manatra came just to observe, but she ended up helping tremendously with raises, and she ended up dying herself as often, if not more often, than the rest of us. She deserves a lot of credit too.

Thanks for your time. =)

For people who are unfamiliar with the Phoenix NA HNM LS demography, there was originally EndOfNM (which later broke up and its members splitted across Dawn and WildSeven) and AwakenSouls.

Historically NA HNM LS on Phoenix has almost always included help from local JP players (such as Hary). The one possible exception to this is AwakenSouls, which to the best of my knowledge, only recently began to get help from Chinese LS. Alexnader and his crews were from a Chinese LS called ChaosLegion, which later became Assassin. (And to the best of my knowledge, Assassin has not yet obtained help from JP players, possibly due to personal conflicts between its leader and the various local HNM LS).

On a side note, WildSeven also obtains help from Chinese LS as well. Zedy has been a famous figure among the Chinese circle and from what I heard, he contributed greatly to the success of WildSeven.

So I think a more accurate title is "TheWildSeven became the first international LS to defeat Kirin on Phoenix" due to the various international collaboration and involvement. And it would be improper to imply that TheWildSeven gets to the current stage without recognizing these contribution.
