Flash: Speedsters can't get drunk but tranquilizer darts are still highly effective. Also, Draco is gonna get some. Or be killed by her. Or maybe both. Poor Draco.

Kind of figured that ultimately there'd be more to it than just four easily identified LMDs though wasn't sure what it was going to be, since like you said it was too easy. I can't say I liked the direction it went, but I also can't say I saw it coming the way it did with Fitz being the LMD and Mary Sue Poots not being one because OF COURSE THE DAMN SELF INSERT AUTHOR AVATAR SUPER GRRL ULTIMATE CHARACTER CAN'T POSSIBLY HAVE BEEN CORRUPTED FOR EVEN ONE SECOND. HEAVEN FORBID THAT MS PERFECT EVER ACTUALLY EVER HAVE ANYTHING TRULY NEGATIVE HAPPEN TO HER CHARACTER AND HEY WHILE I'M WRITING IN CRUISE CONTROL AND ALL CAPS LETS NOT QUESTION THE FOUR LMDS FOUR PEOPLE FEATURING POOTS LAST EPISODE HA HA JUST KIDDING JUST AN ILLUUUUUUUUSSSSSSIIIIIIOOOOON. As far as notable things about last night's episode: The only thing worse than Mary Sue Poots is a room full of Mary Sue Pootses. LMD: Literally Many Daisys. But she sure does have a nice butt, so 40 times that.

Also: LMDs always do one of two things: Turn out to be LMDs when someone kills someone, or they become corrupted and self aware. No exceptions. Aida is pretty hardcore, though.

RIP In Peace In Pieces LMayD. Smiley: frown

And finally, They're bringing back SHIELD Hydra Squid Digital Ward. Already betting he escapes the Framework in an LMD body, (probably The Superior's), and then some cosmetic surgery and he's back. Further bet he comes back as a good guy and has to deal with all the fallout of the two other versions next season. Probably one of the better episodes of the season, if not series, and the various Framework cliffhangers are all interesting, especially Coulson doesn't join SHIELD, Coulson doesn't get Loki'd, no Avengers, Hydra wins. Seriously here, they should blow the entire budget just to get Chris Evans to cameo and say "Hail Hydra.". Not so much the whole mid-mid-mid-mid-season finale deal. This episode pretty much justifies the move to 1000pm

Poor guy, considering so far everyone that's hit that seems to have come down with a case of becoming deceased, even before she started setting things on ice. Also: Hilariously awkward that Wally demonstrated his being a speedster to the girl he has a crush on by vibrating his hand at her. That was most certainly for older viewers. Which begs the question: If two speedsters have sex and finish instantly, would that be good or bad?

Legends: What's the point of inventing a light saber if it isn't any better than a regular sword?

Jamie Chung, who is Valerie Vale in Gotham, has been cast as Blink for the upcoming and untitled X-Men Family Drama. Blink was the best part of X-Men: Days of Future Past, where she thought with portals. If they keep that up, the show might actually be worth watching.

"I am Danny Rand" featurette for next month's Iron Fist. Some new footage, some talking by Finn Jones. Don't really care for what he has to say, mostly because I never care for what anyone connected to a production has to say about their product. No one is ever going to say "It's ****, just ignore it" before it's released. But the clips of the fight scenes and brief glimpses into Rand's naivety do draw my attention. Also, I really haven't been disappointed with (the first half to first three quarters of, anyway) any of the Netflix shows, so I've got an expectation bias.

SHIELD: (Didn't watch the episode until today after work.) Jemma is dead in the Framework. And she was transported inside of her Framework self. So who is Fitz boink-ing? Will Real-Jemma possessed Framework-Jemma come back as a Zombie?

Legion: Keeps getting better. I think that was my favorite episode so far. I still think this is all in his head. A very complicated interaction between all his personalities. I'm looking forward to the reveal of this "Devil with the Yellow Eyes". And that World's Angriest Boy is definitely nightmare material.

I'm like in the upper 90% certain that the yellow eyed goblin is the boy from that Angriest Boy story. Dr Bird forgot that before you open a magic book you have to say klaatu barada ... necktie ... neckturn... nickel... It's an "N" word, it's definitely an "N" word.

James Mangold tweeted that there won't be an after-credit scene for Wolverine: Logan, but now the rumor is that there will be an extra scene before the movie starts. But really, I still wouldn't leave the theater until after the lights turn back on and I'm absolutely certain everything is over. Like any good fan of the CBM.

Reportedly Joe Carnahan has been tagged to pen a script for the X-Force movie.

According to Rob Zombie's instagram, he'll have at least a voice cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2.

Hugh Jackman says that even Deadpool can't keep him doing Wolverine movies, but if it were part of the MCU he'd definitely put some thought into it. ScreenRant recently asked him whether he would have considered sticking around as Wolverine if he'd been given the chance to meet The Avengers, and he said
Hugh Jackman wrote:
If that was on the table when I made my decision, it certainly would have made me pause. That’s for sure. Because I always love the idea of him within that dynamic, with the Hulk obviously, with Iron Man but there’s a lot of smarter people with MBAs who can’t figure that out [laughter]. You never know.

[...]

At the moment, honestly, if I really did have them there, I probably wouldn’t have said this is the last. It just feels like this is the right time [to leave the character].
Would have been cool to have seen Renner show up as Old Man Hawkeye in the new movie, and some inbred Hulk children.

Neil Gaiman's American Gods will debut on Sunday, April 30 at 0900PM.

Holy I think I figured out Powerless last night, after seeing the question mark shirts. It's just a continuation of 60s Batman. In that it's not meant to be funny now, but in thirty or forty years it'll be so-bad-it's-funny funny. I am most assured that at some point there will be a dance number, and the Batusi will be done.

And on that note, Warner Bros officially announced that Matt Reeves will actually direct the Batman Solo Movie afterall, so I guess heads did cool down. Or it was BS. Or a publicity stunt. Either way. Affleck has also taken to social media to assure the fans that he's still Batman. And to segue from that, there's a Nightwing film on the way with Chris McKay (who directed the recent Lego: Batman flick) in talks to helm the picture. I guess it makes sense to start with Nightwing, since the fantheory for the costume from Batman v Superman has always been that it was Jason Todd's, and it is an older, longer established Batman so Ol' Master Dick Grayson would be out of the red and greens and off doing his own thing with the current DCEU timeline.

Cress Williams has been cast as the retired superhero who must once again suit-up as his old alter-ego when one of his daughters falls in with a criminal gang for CW's upcoming Black Lightning series.

Fox says they won't make another Fantastic Four movie unless they get it 100% right, which means they won't be making another Fantastic Four movie.

Looks like Huge Jacked Man isn't the only one hanging up the tights. Following the Wolverine will be Patrick Stewart, who just recently announced that Wolverine: Logan is his last ride in Charles Xavier's wheelchair.
Patrick Stewart wrote:
A week ago, Friday night in Berlin, the three of us sat, watching the movie. And I was so moved by it, much more moved than I had been the first time of seeing it. Maybe it was the company of these two guys, but the movie ended and --- this is an admission --- but at one point (Hugh Jackman) reached out, and he took my hand in those last few minutes, and I saw him go [mimes wiping a tear from his eye] like this, and then I realized I had just done the same thing. Then, the movie ended... and we were going to be taken up on stage, but not until the credits were over. So, we had some time to sit there and, as I sat there I realized there will never be a better, a more perfect, a more sensitive, emotional, and beautiful way of saying au revoir to Charles Xavier than this movie. So, I told (Hugh Jackman) that same evening, 'I'm done too. It's all over.'
Some quotes from the X-Movie camp:
Simon Kinberg, about the next X-Movie wrote:
I can tell you that the stories of me directing it are premature, but I can also tell you that we are in prep on what the next X-Men movie will be. We can't confirm what the next movie will be, but I can talk a little about, frankly, what I would do differently if I were to make X-Men: The Last Stand again, which had the Dark Phoenix storyline. I think the big mistake we made with that movie - and if anybody is to blame for it it's the writer, and I was one of them - it's that we made the Dark Phoenix the subplot of that film, instead of making it the main plot. The Dark Phoenix story is the biggest, and in many ways the most epic, saga of the X-Men comics, so you can't make that the B-plot of the movie. If we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to re-tell that story - and certainly, what we did with the end of Days of Future Past gave us the opportunity to re-tell it - I think we all would want to give it the justice and the space to breath that it deserves.
Simon Kinberg, about Hugh Jackman and Wolverine's future wrote:
We haven't started talking about that. The truth is, we really approached this as, this is really the end of Hugh Jackman playing Wolverine and it very well be the end of Wolverine in the movies. Beyond that, we'll figure out if there is some other version of him. We haven't gone down that road. We really approached this as if it were the end.
Simon Kinberg and Hutch Parker, about X-23 wrote:
We have been talking a little bit about that and the possibility certainly exists. [...] She's (Dafne Keen) a remarkable actress, I think she did an amazing job, and a lot of the credit for that goes to Jim [Mangold]. It's certainly a rich opportunity, we haven't gotten specific in any way, but I'd love to see more with that character.
Simon Kinberg, about Gambit wrote:
It's in active development. It's a movie that we hope will be ready to go by the end of this year and shoot next year. We have two or three X-Men related movies this year so it can wait for a moment. The process has been that Channing (Tatum) is as determined about getting the character right as Ryan Reynolds was about Deadpool and Hugh (Jackman) was about this Logan movie. We know that when we get those right, the movie succeeds so we want to make sure we get Gambit right because we want him to be the beginning of a whole new franchise.
If Channing is as committed as Reynolds, then it'll be like ten years before we see Gambit.

We have a sense of where each of all of the existing characters go from Deadpool to New Mutants to the mainland X-Men movies to potentially even X-23. Then, there's other characters, like Alpha Flight, like Exiles... There's a lot of characters to mine going forward. We're still sort of in this phase where now we've completed the Wolverine story with Logan and we begin hopefully with New Mutants and eventually Gambit and continue with Deadpool.
Potentially even more Blink with Exiles to crossover with that family drama that Jamiie Chung got cast for, and Puck with Alpha Flight. How great would it be if they could get Peter Dinklage for that.

There was a twitter exchange between Rob Liefeld and Russell Crowe about his playing Cable in Deadpool 2. Personally, I'm hoping for Keira Knightley. Also on twitter, fans have been rabidly suggesting their favorite actors to take on the lead role for Nightwing, and Jared Padalecki responded that he'd be up for the role. If Sam Winchester cut his hair I could see it.

Chris Pratt is scheduled to show up on Jimmy Kimmel's show Tuesday night, which means there should be a new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2. Speaking of, Michael Rooker possibly "let slip" with a pair of images on his Instagram that he'll be showing up in Avengers: Infinity War as well, which pretty much means the list of people that won't show up is shorter than the list of people in any given phone book. As subtle as a brick to the face, really.

Supergirl: Seems that the DEO would have been a lot more careful. I mean, people impersonating people and double crosses are pretty much standard practice in this universe.

I don't recall if Mon's secret had been revealed yet. There were a few bounty hunters after him earlier in the season, but I don't recall that going anywhere. Maybe they can introduce Lobo hunting Mon El? (Probably not).

Needs more Kara x Lena action though. Disappointed they didn't go anywhere with that yet.

Edit:
Also, today I learned that Alex in Supergirl was the main girl in "Not Another Teen Movie".

The fact that it's only 20 minutes of actual show helps. It's more of a show like... Brooklyn Nine-Nine than a comic book show. I think the last episode when they thought the guy was a super hero. The secretary being all creepy wanting to see him changing, the homely gal breaking the chair across his back and knocking him down to put an end to the "Is he Isn't he" thing. I got a laugh out of that episode. I don't see it lasting very long. And the show basically says "Hey, what else is your TV going to be tuned into on a Thursday night?".

Cisco vibed in his pants.

Anson Mount will be joining Iwan Rheon on The Inhumans as Black Bolt. Now the question is if he'll be paid for a speaking or nonspeaking role. (Of course speaking.) And over on the Untitled X-Men Family Drama, Sean Teale joins the cast as Marcos Diaz, "a natural rebel compelled by circumstances to cooperate with others," and is a show-unique mutant named Eclipsed with the power to absorb and manipulate photons. Which sounds suspiciously like Sunspot. * Serinda Swan will play Medusa in The Inhumans, Black Bolt's main wife and most trusted advisor. Which now that I write that makes me wonder if they'll address the whole multiple wives thing. And if they'll show the horse head wife at all.

Rahul Kohli, Liv Moore's sidekick on iZombie, will be joining the long list of guest stars which includes Terri Hatcher and Kevin Sorbo on Supergirl, as Jack Spheer and his villainous mind-controlling alter-ego, Biomax. Speaking of iZombie, show returns April 4th and CW has released a new poster for the third season. Personally, can't wait. Probably the capeshow that I have the least to really complain about.

Aliens: Covenant trailer. Plenty of face rape.

And more importantly, the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 trailer. I feel it's a bit underwhelming, really. I mean, the footage looks good and I'm hype for it and everything, but there's really just not as much energy as the last trailer, or the first movie's.

LEGION: I think I'm more convinced this is all his multiple personalities, a world that exists inside his mind. And the identity of the Devil with the Yellow Eyes is now known, sort of. Lenny, Benny, Yellow Eyes, King the "dog"... seems they all may be the same entity. And now David is caught in the Astral plane, and with it, his mind world is caught in an Astral plane too, and the show is turning it up to 11. Guess the real question is, is this King/Lenny/Yellow Eyes entity part of David, or an outside force.

The tale of the two Careys was nice. I wonder why the boy became the dominate part though. I'm thinking they aren't dead. It was the right shoulder after all.

So far, I don't think there is a bad actor in the cast. They all seem to be playing their roles well.

Dance scene music:

I liked the scenes in the ice cube with Jemaine Clement. And the dancing bit near the end with the Carey fight scene.

Every time I think the show is weird it swerves into something bizarre. The truly bizarre part is that it wasn't even the first dance number. Then we have the Lenny is Benny is Lenny mystery on top of everything. It's just difficult finding some footing, and it is working to the show's advantage. Doc and Angry Girl is one lousy mutant power, though.

Pinewood Studios co-owner Dan Cathy mentioned during the African American Film Critics Association luncheon that there is a movie being filmed at their Atlanta, Georgia branch that has a billion dollar budget. Dan wouldn't mention the name of the movie, but Avengers: Infinity War did kick off production last month. Now, it's worth noting that A:IW is filming back-to-back with it's sequel Avengers: Infinitely Untitled So Far, so it's more than likely that the budget is for both movies. That's just the kind of money you can drop on a project when you've had a long string of successes. You know, assuming it is Marvel's movie and not some secret huge budget movie no one has heard of yet.

Man, Untitled X-Men Family Drama is pumping out the announcements at a pretty steady pace. So much so you'd think they'd announce IT'S DAMN NAME at some point. Anyway, Natalie Alyn Lind joins as a "smart, pretty, popular, organized and already ahead on her college applications and is the model of a perfect kid" which means she's pretty much screwed by the second act of the first episode. And now Amy Acker has been cast as the mother of the family, Kate Stewart, who is described as "a woman who is struggling with her separation from her husband Reed and her increasingly challenging teenage children. When her family situation takes a dark turn, she finds that she’s stronger than she thinks.” Percy Hynes White will play Andy, "a sensitive kid and bit of a loner, who keeps to himself to avoid the turmoil he faces at school and at home." And Emma Dumont has been added as an actually familiar character, Lorna Dane/Polaris. Mutant with magnetism powers, sometimes related to Magneto depending on the writer.

Dr.Bashir Alexander Siddig will be leading the League of Shadows as Ra's al Ghul in Gotham. Makes sense, seeing as how he's basically immortal. Can't be as bad as when Arrow tried it.

And finally, because I really got to go, Ken Leung will be Karnak in The Inhumans. Finally a character I actually like. Hopefully they remember that he's never been through Terrigenesis and is just naturally awesome.

Some footage on twitter of Momoa underwater for Justice League. Looks pretty neat.

Nafessa Williams and China Anne McClain join CW's Black Lightning as Thunder and Lightning, Cress Williams' daughters. Williams will play the eldest daughter Annisa Pierce, who is "passionate and quick-witted, balances the demands of medical school with her job teaching part-time at her father’s school," while McClain will be the younger Jennifer Williams who will be the troubled youth that causes Jefferson Pierce to get back into caped crimefighting.

More The Inhumans casting news: Isabelle Cornish will play Medusa's younger sister Crystal, Eme Ikwuakor is Black Bolt's hoofed cousin, Gorgon, Mike Moh will portray the amphibious Triton, and Lockjaw the Teleporting Dog Inhuman has been confirmed.

I've made it a habit to go through and watch Legion 2 or 3 times per episode. There seems to be a lot of hidden imagery in it. Yellow Eyes hides in the background very often, dogs were a big (and somewhat obvious) one in the first few episodes episodes, but one that I think I've noticed a couple times now is a Hydra symbol? I remember seeing it in the first few episodes. But in this last episode, Episode 4, when Syd and the Memory Guy are at the Doctor's place (who turns out to be the Watcher guy with the Milky Eye) it's very noticeable. The Octopus symbol displayed prominently between them.

So if the whole thing is in David's head... is "real" David being held by a Hydra-like organization... (But I don't imagine the studio doing this show has the rights to that part of the comic book world).

I'm a bit concerned about Legion though. I'm enjoying the whole "what's real and what isn't" aspect. But honestly, there's a point where that may just become too disorienting for audiences and they're going to lose viewers. Audiences tend to like actual "real" developments, and even if it's stuff inside his own head, it needs to at least feel like it's moving in some direction. So far, I'm not sure if that's happening. We're learning stuff, which is cool, but the pace seems a bit slow for me. We hit more new weirdness faster than we learn something about the previous ones.

Maybe it's my latent short attention span, but I kinda want something to actually, you know.... happen. I keep thinking "ok. When are they going to stop delving into his mind and get to the story?". I'd actually be really disappointed if it turned out that everything was just inside his head. I don't have an issue with keeping us guessing about what's real and what isn't, but if they want to maintain a series based story, they do have to provide something "outside" (or at least that we think is outside). Moving back and forth between examining his mind and having him doing stuff (or trying to do stuff) in the "real world" (like rescue his sister in the short term, and generally fight against the bad guys) should work fine. But they have to find a balance between those two aspects of the show.

I'm not sure what that balance is right now. And I'm honestly not sure if I'm happy with that. Although, amusingly enough, that's part of what I'm enjoying about the show. But it feels like the kind of enjoyment that you get that's somewhat short term. You enjoy a period of time where you're not sure what's going on, but at some point you want and need grounding of some kind. If they time that right, the series will be great. If they don't, then it might just trail off. Dunno. Either way, it's an ambitious concept for a show.

I wouldn't be disappointed if it turns out to be all in his head. Because unlike the "It's all a dream" deal, these are "real" people. Even if they end up being personalities, the events part of this crazy mind, they still matter. It's not like he's going to wake up after these events and everything is back to normal.

Well. Except that the only way we the audience would ever know that is if he did wake up and realize it's "all a dream". Or, I suppose, the stereotypical end of season pull back to him lying in a coma on a hospital bed, with a senior resident talking to the new doctors about this "special case" who's "been with us for a long time" and "he hasn't woken up in X years, despite having abnormally high brain activity", etc, etc, etc.

If they do that, I'll literally puke. Ok, not literally, but maybe just a little bit. Just some bile, I suppose.

I would much much much much rather they intermix "real" and "in his head" stuff. That way there are things that actually happen, but it's not always clear what. And he'll struggle to separate what's real from what's imaginary, while knowing (perhaps) that people will "really" suffer if he gets it wrong. I think that would provide a more engaging story and be much more satisfying for the audience (basically giving more people what they want). The struggle would actually matter and have consequences. Dunno. I would find that a more interesting route anyway.

I didn't mean literally have him wake up. Just saying that the revelation of it being in his head would not be a "and he woke up and it was all a dream" deal. Because of the way the character, personalities, and interactions would be made, it wouldn't matter if it was in his head or not. Because his head would be the world.

Sickness in the family, so not seeing Wolverine: Logan this weekend. Everything I've read says it's pretty much the best Wolverine movie, which isn't exactly the highest hurdle to jump. Also, if rumors are true there is a Deadpool teaser before the movie airs which I totally want to see on something better than a camera phone uploaded to youtube that they've been uploading and deleting all day. Anyway.

So finished rewatching the last episode and am rewatching the first now, and I think that the octopus is just an octopus. It's in a lighthouse so kind of fits the motif, I guess? About halfway through the first episode and haven't seen any other octopus. Now I'm questioning what was going on at the hospital though. If Lenny was a male, then was female Lenny at the hospital just a fakeout in the first episode and she was male all along? Was Lenny even there at all? The doctor during the group session taps his ears while she's listening to headphones, but maybe that was another fakeout and he was indicating something or someone else? Right before the body swap Lenny and Syd talk about candy, though. Did Syd stick him in the wall, or was it someone else? And if so then why didn't she know Lenny was a male while they were both in the hospital? I'll have to watch (and now rewatch, you cnut) the next few episodes to see if there's more to it. That Bollywood dance sequence a second time was just as fun as the first.

I don't think the show can always be in his head, but it could probably handle a season or two that way.

I think the other time I saw it was when Syd goes into David's sedated memories. Probably episode 3? And they interact with child-David. It's spray painted on the wall. The symbols are of octopus. Just seems a bit strange for that to be a reoccurring image.

I'll watch the middle two episodes Monday. Just want to post this.

Ryan Reynolds released an extended version of the "secret Logan scene" teaser into the wild. Two things to note: A) Reynold's butt, and (2) "Nathan Summers Cumming Soon." The music choices are good, too. Considering the music choice, I think that the blue tint is an intentional poke at the DCEU Oh, and I guess (D) would be that Logan is playing in the theater, and there's also a movie poster. Pretty much just a pointless three minute scene that perfectly encapsulates Deadpool.

12) Now rewatch it and pretend that was Uncle Ben.

If you're interested in the text crawl at the end:
The Old Man and the Sea is the story of a fight between an elderly, accomplished fisherman, Santiago, and a really big fish. Like... HUGE. The story opens with Santiago suffering eighty-four days without catching a fish because he's the unluckiest son of a bitch on planet earth. Honestly, if you were in a boat for eighty-four days, it'd be hard to NOT catch a fish... even by accident. Santiago was so unlucky that his apprentice, Manolin, was forbidden by his Ma and Pa to fish with him. But as the Fresh Prince used to say, 'Parents Just Don't Understand.' So the boy visits Santiago's shack anyway, ignoring the inherent risks of unsupervised playtime with an elderly man who talks to himself. Manolin helps out, moving Santiago's fishing gear, making food and talking about baseball. Especially Joe DiMaggio; who used to bump fuzzies with Marilyn Monroe. The next day, Santiago tells Manolin that he's going way out into the Gulf Stream. WAY OUT north of Cuba. Lady luck is returning! On the eighty-fifth day of his crappy luck, Santiago drops his lines, and by noon, gets a bite from what feels like a big ass fish. He's sure it's a winner. He fights and fights and fights but can't pull the monster in. Santiago's leaky old boat is pulled by the fish for two days and nights and he holds on for dear life. Even though he's bloody and beat, Santiago begins to appreciate this mighty adversary. He starts calling him "brother" or maybe even "bro." It's sort of a love story if you really think about it. And like most romantic comedies, the reader pictures a delightful outfit changing montage, followed by the inevitable interspecies wedding. But on the third day, Santiago is freakin' EXHAUSTED, and decides he just wants the fish to do what he says and not always swim wherever he wants. So he stabs it. With a f*cking harpoon. It's a mess. Super gross. Blood everywhere. Because, like many men his age, Santiago has difficulty expressing his emotions and fears with words instead giving in to base desires and imposing his gigantically terrible positions on any given subject through unblinking violence. Typical. Anyway, he straps the marlin to the side of his skiff and hits the road home, ready to act like a total show off to everyone and probably gouge people on the price. But guess what? Pretty soon sharks begin to attack the bleeding marlin's carcass, because as we all know, life is a tragic opera and just when you think you've finally found something good and true, sharks come along and rip it all to f*cking shreds while dry humping your dignity with their crazy weird shark dicks. Sure, Santiago tries killing a few of them, but drops his harpoon because his hands are just as old as he is. By nighttime, the sharks have pretty much eaten the entire marlin. Only a bleach white skeleton remains, silently mocking him in the murky darkness. Santiago realizes he's still unlucky. REALLY unlucky. (Duh!) He calls the sharks "dream killers". Which isn't really all that fair. I mean, the sharks were just doing their job and the marlin... Jesus, don't even get me started on the marlin! It was just hanging out one day, minding its own business, maybe thinking about ways it could be a better provider for it's family and WHAM! Harpoon in the brain. Who's the "dream killer" now, f*ckface? The hypocrisy is pretty much boundless at this point. Eventually Santiago makes it ashore. Leaving the bones of the marlin and the boat, he hobbles to his shack. He makes it home and crashes, like I said, he's super tired. The next morning a group of fishermen gather around Santiago's boat. One measures the skeleton and, holy sh*t shingles! It's over 18 feet! The head of the fish is given to Pedrico (strange that this is the first mention of him) and the other fishermen ask Manolin to send their glad tidings to the old man. Manolin brings Santiago newspapers and coffee when he wakes and they decide to fish together again. Many years later, there's a Red Lobster Restaurant in nearly every city in America, offering a casual dining experience and convenient parking.

Deadpool Teaser: I wonder if the Firefly posters mean anything. And I don't know who the guy in the repeated picture above the Firefly posters is. Also noticed the "Oggy was here". Dunno if that means anything (google search yielded only one very minor hit in the Marvel universe for that name). I also wonder why they did not show the extended version in theaters? (About 30 seconds total of extra stuff that wasn't included in the theaters).

Saw Logan: There is no post-credit scene. Overall I liked it, but it almost was like an Origin Story for this new set of mutants. And because of that, it left that ending open. So overall it didn't feel like a complete movie, other than complete movie spoilers Logan and Charles dying..

I didn't care for the way they handled the lack of mutants. I went in with very minimal knowledge of the plot of the movie (avoided reading about it) and assumed it would be about a virus that killed off most of the mutants and left Logan and very few others alive. The virus being the reason why Logan was aging again and had poor healing.

But instead we have a scientist who stopped new mutants from occurring randomly by just improving the worlds' diet (the world doesn't have to worry about Mutants anymore, according to the TV news "it's 2029, why are they still talking about Mutants?") and deciding they can make mutants better than nature would. And a Charles who starts having seizures and kills everyone around him when it happens (kind of cool, but still disappointing), including all his allied Mutants. And a Logan who is weakened because his Adamantium skeleton is giving him heavy metal poisoning.

So, Logan...

It's a pretty grim movie. This is not the feel good movie of the year. Some pretty dark stuff goes down in this movie, and it keeps going right up to the end. There is about ten second gap between when the movie ends and the credits begin. In the theater I saw it at, the auditorium was about three quarters full, so a decent crowd. During that ten seconds, you could've have heard a pin drop, it was just dead silence. That's the kind of reaction you have to this movie. Once you've seen it, there really isn't anything else to say.

It was well acted, had some pretty brutal fight scenes, and it does a solid job of ending Hugh Jackman's run as Wolverine. But, honestly, I have no real urge to see it again. There are some movies that you really only need to watch once, and I think that this is one of them.

Okay, fast forwarded through the third episode of Legion. It's certainly there, behind the soiled mattress and pallets. Considering the nature of the show not really sure if that actually means anything yet, but you're right. Two episodes and two octopus. Guess we'll find out Wednesday if it continues or it was a coincidence.

Could just be a reference to how Morena Baccarin (Vanessa, Wade's girlfriend) was in Firefly. Random fantheory about the teaser floating around is that it's a hint of Nathan Fillion cast as Cable. Nathan as Nathan and such. Then again, Fillion's name pops up every time a high profile role is being cast so could just as easily be purposefully misleading to draw attention away from the real actor/actress suiting up as GlowyEye Mc90sHugeGuns.

Same reason there's still shows about World War II, I'd wager. Or a quick bit of backstory.

Overall from what you and Turin are saying, and the bits I've accidentally read about, it doesn't really sound much like the Old Man Logan storyline beyond Logan being an old man, but I certainly want to see it. Won't really get a chance until next week, which is kind of infuriating.

Inhumans has started filming, and pictures of Black Bolt and Lockjaw have already leaked. Blackagar's tuning fork is missing, which is a little disappointing, but time will tell.

My only knowledge of the Old Man Logan storyline is what I read on Wikipedia, but yeah, I feel pretty comfortable saying that aside from Logan being old, they aren't really similar at all.
