It had a full lineup apparently, including Tenchi, DBZ (fight against Cell), Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, and more. I am so sad I missed this.

Maybe it's just me, but the review not using the default Shepard looks very, very odd.

I accidentally caught it being streamed online. Never having cable, I never saw too much of the original toonami and lineup, but I still got a vicarious hit of nostalgia.

god damn it!
They know we want it back, but no.. King of the Hill for 2 hours. Does anyone even like that show? I thought it was retarded when it was on Fox. CN needs to buy another channel and just name it Toonami so kids of today can see the awesomeness that is/was.

I rather like it. Considering it gets fairly high ratings, quite a few folks seem to agree. I liked Toonami, but I don't think the two are by any means mutually exclusive. There are quite a few options to bring back Toonami that also keep KotH. Like killing the repeats of the programming block every night, or removing all those damn non-cartoon shows from Cartoon Network, or even bringing back Toonami as a one night a week block like it was originally.

Yea, I don't use Twitter but if some of you do, here's the tweet. https://twitter.com/#!/adultswim/status/187004036824834049

Yeah, I like King of the Hill too. It's not my favorite show, but I find it entertaining. It does take a while to warm up to though. A lot of the characters seem pretty boring at first, before you get to know them.

I hate pretty much everything about stereotypical Texas, so I pretty much detest the show.

I don't know if it was the creator's intention or not (although I'm guessing it was), but the show seems to be a satire to me. Pointing out all the ridiculous things about Texas and the people who live there, and exaggerating them. I'm not a big fan of hicks in general, no matter where they're from, so watching hicks get made fun of helps my enjoyment of the show.

I remember when Moltar was the host of Toonami. Ahh, the good ol' days.

On a side note, if Wikipedia is to be believed Toonami is coming back on April 22, 2012 12am Est. Hopefully they are getting rid of all that garbage that takes up most of Adult Swims lineup. (although being on Saturday I doubt that will happen)

Political satire. Most of the shows are usually pitting Hank's social conservative views against an interloper's liberalism. I'd like to say that's my interpretation, but all I did was checked the wiki. The show bored me to tears and I never put any thought into it. Really, it's only ever on when I want background noise without a need to focus on anything specific.

I don't think that's true, Wikipedia isn't showing that date any more.

So I'm half way listening/watching tv when Loiter Squad comes on. For the record, I'm not particularly fond of any of the live action shows on Cartoon Network, but when you put a black guy dressed as a cowboy on a horse, and his only line is "I stole this," I'm left laughing my *** off. Well done.

Good April Fool's Joke, Adult Swim. Smiley: glare

Tyler is awesome. Singlehandedly made me want to watch his show.

I'm all for Tom, but if it's just the same cycle of shows with new host segments then it's not exactly an improvement.

Think I read they are getting new shows to run but the press release on ANN was vague so it could just mean new shows that were not on when it was on air. Well here's to hoping.

The Crunchyroll release said that Adult Swim was "developing original anime programming" for Toonami. That leaves me hoping it'll be something completely new.
