According to Dutch TV, even biathlon is more interesting than the super bowl.

I'm not even doing that much. Football is about as interesting to me as watching the grass grow in front of a freshly painted fence. Living only thirty miles from Pittsburgh has made it rather difficult to ignore this year. Around here, people look at as if you've lost your mind when you tell that you really just don't give a **** if the Steelers win or not.

I really liked the Doritos commercials, but none of the others really left a lasting impression on me.

I rather enjoyed the Thor trailer Youtube had up on their Super Bowl commercial list.

However funny that is, do you know how hard it is to find a halfdecent biathlon clip on youtube?
Even the people on youtube think Biathlon is boring.
So you get to watch it in 240p with German commentary.

oh that. Yea that is better then the super bowl game.

As for the commercials I liked the trailer ones for upcoming movies.

The kid dressed as Darth Vader was funny.

And the Coke commercials were neat.

...and then the e-trade ones are always great.

What? The e-trade one was ******* stupid. Not funny at all. Most of the commercials were gigantic failures. However, the three I did like were the Darth Vader kid (despite it being a car commercial), the Groupon one, and the Doritos one one where they make things grow. This is excluding the trailers, some of which were good (Thor, Captain America, and Cowboys vs. Aliens).

I put the movie trailers into a different category when it comes to Super Bowl commercials because unlike the most commercials, these focus on what they're selling the entire time. Rather than having the goal of "how can we make people remember our commercial?" they need to go with "how can we make our movie look kick-***?".

For instance, the Vader commercial. I remember it and I know it was for some type of car, but did anyone actually pay attention to the car maker? I sure as **** don't remember (I realize I'm not the most observant person in the world, but I can't be the only one, right?). I guess in that sense, the commercial was a failure because someone in their audience doesn't remember the product they were selling.

Of course with movie trailers, companies really can't do that. Instead, they need to feature epic music along side teasers of their movie to gain your interest. This creates a different type of commercial that really cannot be compared to the typical Super Bowl commercial.

Also, I'm sure there are people that could care less about the normal commercials, but are extremely excited to see the new movie trailers.
