Have stopped subbing Bleach due to Crunchyroll getting a license to stream it, does anybody know of any other fansubbing groups that do a comparable job of Bleach to DB?

I personally am going to give Crunchyroll a shot.

I would give them a shot if they allowed you to download the show, purely because I like having all the episodes on my harddrive, and because my internet suuuuuccckkkkksssss so I don't want to have to wait a million years for it to buffer, and then watch it then. I would prefer to be able to download it overnight when I'm asleep, and then I can watch it at my own leisure.

Won't happen because it would cut into profits from future DVD sales.

No one currently since Dattebayo was "the" Bleach guys. However, much like Naruto, a week or so in and someone else will pick it up.

When I saw this on their site I got super depressed. Bleach is the one anime that I truly, actively follow.

I'd be more upset by this if I still bothered to watch Bleach. Those filler episodes after the Zanpaktou arc were so awful that I just stopped watching. I'll read the manga and see if Kubo can pull a decent ending out of his ***, but aside from that I'm pretty much done with series.

I watch bleach, but I'm not sure why any more. The show is absolutely terrible and their fillers are some of the most ridiculous ****. They don't even bother to make the fillers flow... it's just a full stop. Whenever Bleach goes into fillers, that means it is time to take a break from the show.

Anyway, I doubt Crunchyroll will be absolutely terrible. DB has helped them improve ever since they took over Naruto. If they are, someone else is likely to pick up the show, probably HorribleSubs. With respect to your concerns about streams-only: Naruto subbed by CR is available in torrent form. Not sure who rips it from the site, but I'm sure the same will happen with Bleach.

All signs point to "Bleach will continue until some point after his death".

The Anime will, it's this generation's DBZ. I mean, is there a current long running show atm with more filler?

I think Naruto could be a contender.

I was going to say One Piece, but couldn't remember if it had or had not recently ended.

I actually have a lot of respect for Dattebayo dropping these series once companies offer online streaming subs, because it encourages them to fill a gaping hole in the industry right now.

It also means we get decently accurate subs from companies, not just the english scripts rewritten.

It's going to take just as long to download as it will to buffer, so I don't see the problem. No, you can't pirate the episode. But there's no real difference otherwise (beyond the fact that you can't close the browser).

Which is exactly the point of my post... I can't watch the episode at my own leisure, not only that, but if I wanted to watch it again, I would have to buffer it again, which is why I prefer to just download them.
