Ok, the title is only slightly tongue-in-cheek, but really the movie was made only for the sex appeal of the two main men, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Both of them frequently appear shirtless or with open shirts. Lautner especially; apparently the 17 year-old put on 30 pounds from Twilight to New Moon, and obviously all of it was muscle. The kid is jacked, and I wonder how much of it was digitally enhanced.
The movie was better than the first, but not by all that much; I made fun of it with my friends constantly. On the plus side, we were cracking up the entire time. Yes, it's immature, but watching two overly emo kids say to each other "I don't want you to come." "You don't want me to come?" sent us all into fits of giggles. The overly serious parts came off as goofy. I personally don't think either Bella or Edward are all that great at acting. However, Jacob, Charlie, and Aro (the creepy talkative vampire) were actually not bad.
It wasn't a great movie, but if you like really hot men, sappy romance, or the Twilight series, it's fantastic.
I'm not gay or a girl, and I didn't like Twilight, but I have to admit staring at Lautner's chest for a couple of hours did have rooting for Team Jacob.
