Is this forum dead? Galkaman said it is...

new threads every day? No
New post everyday? Maybe
Dead? I visit it every day at least 2-3 times.

It is slow, really slow but I wouldn't say dead.

The general game discussion forum is kinda slow too, maybe merging the 2 would be a good idea. I personally like the fact we can talk anime here without getting the thread derailed the way it would be in the OOT.

Re-merging would work. I don't talk Anime, so I don't care where that ends up, or what happens to their post.

As for the General Game forum, as the poster above said. I wouldn't merge it with Movie/tv/anime into the OOT.

If you merge this with anything, make it the game discussion rather than the OOT. At least that keeps them all relevant in the fact that they're all media related.

If you do merge it, I suggest you add music to the mix as well, just for the small boost to forum activity (which boosts the frequency of all other topics and comments as well).

Meh. The only thing I don't like about having the media forums split from the OOT/Asylum, is that there's a much smaller pool of posters here.
Not as many responses, not too many new things bouncing around.

I wouldn't call this forum dead by any means. Sure, it's not quite the liveliest of forums, but it does keep up enough activity to justify its existence, IMO.


Also, why on earth would you believe Galkaman? You should know by now that he's pure evil.

I think even more than that is the lack of overall posting everywhere. It seems like all the forums around here are kinda slow lately. WoW General, for instance, hasn't had nearly the number of threads posted that I was used to. Stuff on the OOT isn't moving at its old breakneck pace. The Asylum is...actually doing alright. Sometimes slow, sometimes not, like I've always seen it.

It's been slower the past few days, but hardly dead. And, like Allegory, I was one of the ones pushing for this forum to be merged with anime (and other media I suppose), and I think it has worked well so far.

I get where you're coming from. Just saying it'd be cool to have a conversation with other posters within minutes, not hours.
Derailment is something to get used to, but it's not all that bad. Keeps things interesting, I'd say.

I did miss it; I moved into the OOT around the same time I saw polls, asking if people wanted an Anime forum.
I bet it would work if the admins changed the link from =5 to my journal.

I'm not actually serious about it, incase you missed that.

It's dead enough that I only check it a couples times a week.
