SG*U o.O?Follow

So I got cable a few months back, but really haven't watched much TV (my father was home for the past 6 weeks due to a surgery he had. The TV never left History, Discovery, or NatGeo -.-).

Last night, I was watching the re-make of Children of the Corn on SyFy and saw a commercial for SG*U.

I've been a big fan of SG. Was a fav movies as a child, I rented that movie once a month. I have watched SG-1 and some of SG Atlantis (shortly after it started, we left the satellite company we were with).
So I'm kind of exited.

Also, it seems that every TV show has someone named Eli now.
Is Eli finally making a come back?

My RL Nick name is Eli, I've only meet 3 other people my entire life with the name Eli/Ely.
Even less with my real name lol

It could be good, but unfortunately, I'm not all that confident about it.

So they're stranded at the other side of the universe, big deal, Atlantis was in a totally different galaxy.

I'm just not sure if they're going to be able to show anything new this time. After ten years of SG-1, five years of Atlantis and a couple of movies, it might not be quite as easy.

I'm definitely watching it though, that goes without saying!

Well... wouldn't the other side of the Universe technically have to be a totally different galaxy?

Unless you're not actually in a galaxy.

Which considering the sparseness of space would actually be quite likely. But I mean really what kind of tv show would that make just be a bunch of people randomly floating around in nothing, that's boring.

I'm still waiting for them to do a Stargate/Doom crossover episode in which one of the gate address accidentally leads to hell. And I don't count those episodes with the Goa'uld pretending to be Satan (Sokar).

This one is supposed to more like BSG than SG1. I'll give it chance. As a side note, one of these months I should actually watch that SG1 box set a won a couple years ago. It's just been taking up since I got it.

Exactly, again.

Still, it could be good, there's bound to be plenty of ideas left from Atlantis they can use I suppose, some loose ends useful even at the other side of the galaxy.

As long as they stay clear of the replicators for a change.

It wasn't bad, although I'm still not sure how they're going to go for a couple of seasons on a ship that's already not in a good shape and that gives them timed missions, I laughed the first time I saw that counter, feels a bit like a Mario galaxy game now, the ship takes them from planet to planet and gives them 12 hours to do the mission or they all die

Still, could be fun I suppose.
