I thought the little bit with the cell phone at the end was funny, but overall I really didn't like the character. She does get a bit better at the end, but I still found her annoying.

Last night's episode was disturbing and I didn't really like any of the songs. Despite that, I am very much looking forward to next week's season finale, because the songs are going to be awesome and so will the episode.

I don't know how I feel about last night's episode. The thing between Sue and Will would have been pretty funny.. five episodes ago. Now it feels like they're just locked in a feud that doesn't go anywhere, with no heightening of tension or anything. And if Jesse doesn't quit changing sides, I'm going to feel like I'm watching Heroes all over again. Luckily the story has no choice but to move forward next week, so that should be a good one, but they need to do something with all of their little side plots.

I'm stumped about last night's episode.

It was the perfect recipe for a great episode. Funk music? Tons of fun. Will coming on to Sue to mess with her head? Brilliant. Spiraling out-of-control pre-competition harassment of the other team? Works for me.

So how did it fall flat on every. single. front?

The music was boring, the performances bad (except for Matthew Morrison's backside, which was in fine form, *ahem*) and the story uninteresting.

Meh.

Also, apparently Jane Lynch got married recently. I didn't realize she was gay.

Yep, read an article a while back where it was mentioned. Which, as I mentioned in this post, is why the Sue's Corner "Sneaky Gays" webisode that came out during the hiatus was so hilarious. This show has a lot of sneaky gays.

I liked this episode a lot. The music was so-so, however, the back and forth between Will and Sue was some of the best in the series. No lines stand at the moment, but I still couldn't stop laughing.

For what it's worth, I didn't hate it. It wasn't my favorite episode this season, but I think it was entertaining. I loved Will's messing with Sue's head, it was really funny. And then the part where they almost kiss, and Sue's line there about his breath stenching of failure was great.

I agree that other than Will's solo, the music was pretty blah. I also really liked the scene where after Rachel gets egged by Vocal Adrenaline and all the boys (including Kurt and Artie, which was awesome) start to go off to defend her. That made me so happy, because as much as she's ostracized by most of the group, it shows they really do have a sense of loyalty, and I thought it was really sweet.

I have to say though, I really miss Emma. Good to see she's making an appearance for the season finale, because she's one of my favorite characters.

I'm not even going to try to analyze this one. There were about a zillion things wrong with the episode, and yet I loved it anyway.

It was predictable, but still great. Can't wait for next season.

(and the songs were awesome)

I didn't like the ending. Smiley: frown I feel like next season is just going to be a repeat of this season. "ZOMG! Gotta win X to keep the club open!!!!"

Liked the rest of it, though. 'Specially the songs. Already downloaded the CD. Smiley: grin

Accidentally posted in the Bleach thread last night; was so confused today, figured Allakhazam had eaten my post somehow :-P

Well, might as well light this up. Season finale.

Pros:

1. Journey medley. I'm ok with this. Would have rather heard all of "Anyway you want it" than a mashup, but still good. But great throw back to the first episode, which I thought fit quite well.
2. Wrapped up the Quinn BabyGate thing.
3. Lose the battle, win the war for Glee club for another season. Saw the ending coming from a mile away, but still decent.
4. Sue is hilarious.
5. Hey, Santana sings again! And Puck has a couple of solos and strums the guitar!
6. Really liked the last song! Ukulele is always nice.
7. Santana sings again!
8. If you're the emotional type, lots of tear-jerkers.

Cons:
1. I'm not the emotional type.
2. Love is in the air, but it just kinda set the scene for next season; none of the relationship things were settled.
3. Songs were good, but nothing WOWed me.

Overall: Good, solid episode, not one of the best, but definitely better than average. If you like Journey. One of my friends doesn't, but I think she might be a Communist. Communists hate Journey*.

(*No idea if this is true)

I liked it. Santana has a great voice. I wasn't surprised to see her this episode. I'm curious if the other non-singers will make an appearance outside the chorus next season, or if they're just space fillers (except Brittany, some of her lines rival Sue imo). It was good, but I thought last weeks was better. The feud between Sue and Will was pretty much the best out of every episode last week.

1. Finn and Rachel! And Emma and Will seem to be getting back together. I read that John Stamos will be playing the part of Emma's dentist boyfriend. Interesting.

3. My mom loved Jessie's version of "Bohemian Rhapsody," but I thought it was just meh. I know it's not real, but if I had been in that particular club and we did that song, and all I got to do was some "Ooohs" and "Aaahs," I'd be pissed.

And that's what you missed on

Yeah, the actor who plays Jessie... His voice doesn't really do anything for me. I'm glad he won't be back next season unless they decide to toss him in for a guest spot.

By the way, when it comes time to start hype for Season 2 at the end of the summer, I request a new thread be made since this one is getting rather big. :)

Agreed. The new "follow thread" feature should come in handy, too.

It's a matter of perspective. I'd rather hear him than Finn.

I really like Finn's voice.

I do wish Santana would sing more, though.

I am certain I would like Finn's voice more if not for the fact that they have to AutoTune the hell out of him, and then for the sake of achieving a consistent sound, consequently have to AutoTune the hell out of Lea Michele until she sounds like a deranged chipmunk whenever they have a duet.

They definitely seem to be moving in the direction of giving more of the secondary cast more solos, so there's hope.

I must be completely tone deaf, because I can't tell. Smiley: lol I'll have to pay attention and watch some of the reruns. Or maybe I won't... I don't want to notice then have it bother me every time I watch an episode. Smiley: grin

It was a lot worse in older episodes. I think it's gotten better recently myself, the Auto-tune isn't nearly as noticeable. Finn's voice seems to be a lot better than it used to be.

The ending actually surprised me in some ways. I figured that they would win at regionals. Obviously if there's a second season they would have had to win... But they figured out a way around that, good for them.

The episode was pretty good overall, but I was a bit disappointed. I can't say why specifically, it just wasn't that good I guess. I'm still looking forward to next season though.

I actually did too. Not at first, but after the other judges started giving Sue guff I thought she was going to go all HBIC on them and psychologically flog them into voting contrary to their initial wishes just to spite them.
