*points to sig* This is that book. In case anyone was curious.

Google Books has a longish preview available.

Am I being too harsh when I say I think it's horrible? Maybe overreacting to the author's, ahem, special names for things? (I mean, metaphors I can handle, but renaming basic body parts...ugh.)

Now I know why my local Goodwill doesn't accept returns on books. Smiley: frown

She was probably trying to increase sales by getting it into the SciFi section as well as Romance books.

I took a peek at one of the sample chapters at the link, and I'd say that the book is just as horrible as you've said that it is. Wow.

The weird thing is, it has overwhelmingly positive reviews on all of the sites I've checked. Smiley: confused

I thought maybe that was because the only people reading it were ones who'd liked the one that comes before it, but that one had pretty good reviews too.
