Just saw it. Visually, it's certainly the most impressive movie I've ever seen. The entire alien world, literally from the ground to it's sky to every creature great & small is flat out cool. It's use of 3D is certainly revolutionary & incredible.
That being said, it's plot was best described by Kao.

Except a bit more awkward. I mean it's one thing to crush on a native american with their "alien culture". It's a bit weirder when it's not just the culture that's alien.
And, ya know, she's a 15 foot tall cat person.
I wasn't the only one laughing during these parts, either, which I don't think Cameron intended.
That being said, it's pretty good. Certainly better than a lot of stuff that came out this year & more visually impressive than anything else.
It should be noted, however, that Terry Gilliam's
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus isn't out yet.
