I think the vision that Charle had early on in this arc, of Lucy singing/screaming as the castle collapsed around her, was her closing the gate as the Eclipse canon was preparing to fire. If that's the case, I wonder how/why she accidentally closed the gate while she was screaming? Maybe, since the Zodiac keys were used to open the Eclipse Gate, firing the canon would have killed the celestial spirits?

I can believe this. My initial thoughts when the door was appeared was that it was going to open a door to the celestial world and then do something evil to it or using it.

Always goes back to Aizen Smiley: mad. Madara seems pretty impulsive and irrational. Didn't expect the Mera Mera Fruit to be offered to Franky.

Bleach: Well, I think we did all see it coming. Still want to see what happens. Also, I'm wondering about his sword's name, Engetsu. Anyone know what the translation to that is, and if there is any relation to Zangetsu?

It's Zangetsu's sibling sword if I remember. During the final battle with Aizen, Isshin was telling Ichigo how Engetsu refused to teach him the "Final Getsuga Tenshou".

According to the Bleach Wiki, Engetsu translates to (剡月, Scathing Moon)

I'm enjoying it thus far, but mostly because I find Ichigo's parents and Ishida's parents vastly more interesting.

Aaaaaand now we're shifting to Fairy Tail Shipuden. Next week Jellal will be the general of the United Wizard Army.

I bet it's Yukino who messes stuff up and Lucy gets the blame.

I posted this at bg after I had a sleep deprived epiphany about bleach, figured I'd share it with you guys too.

Quote:
I've found some pretty interesting things by digging through the old bleach chapters:

Hollows attacking shinigamis, their presense masked, gin+aizen show up to save the day: www.mangahere.com/manga/bleach/v15/c130.5/
Look at the chapters name, fusion of a hollow and a shinigami eh?: www.mangahere.com/manga/bleach/v16/c136/
------------------
Also I just had a moment of thoughts so stupid they may be on the right track. Bear with me for a bit here, spoilered part of the fluff to cut down post length: Isshin has used getsuga before, also I'm pretty sure his sword wasn't even in shikai when he used it. Isshin just unleashed his shikai with "burn", leading me towards thinking that his moves shouldn't be something like getsuga.

Ichigo is constantly shown as a fast learner and fast adapter, Gin specifically mentions this about him as it being what makes him scary, and it's mentioned by many other people. Shortly after he becomes a pseudo-shinigami at the beginning of the manga he's able to do stuff like visualizing spirit threads to find ****. Until he fights the menos grande the only way he attacks is with close range slashes. In the mid thirties he meets Ishida and witnesses him using a spirit bow to kill hollows from a range. In chapter 49 against the menos when Ishida is touching Ichigo's initial sword and uses his bow the power flowed through automatically and made his bow wumbo. Ichigo is then attacked by a cero and counters by firing a ranged blast/cut of spiritual power for the first time. Immediately afterwards his power was going out of control and his sword was actually deforming.

When Ichigo finally calls out his Shikai for the first time he unleashes yet another sharp large blast of reiatsu. When he finishes his bankai training he finally becomes able to control getsuga tenshou. It's defined as instantly storing his energy in the blade and then condensing it and releasing it through the tip.

A quincy uses the reishi in the atmosphere and combines it with their spirit power to materialize spirit weapons. A shinigami channels their spirit power into/with a zanpakuto or into pure kidou attacks. Since Ichigo is both quincy and shinigami he is able to channel is own spirit power to manifest/materialize his spirit weapon on his own. I think getsuga is simply an imitation of a quincy attack. Instead of gathering outside energy into the shape of an arrow and firing it he gathers energy from inside himself into his "bow" (zangetsu) and fires it. As Isshin spent so long with Masaki he learned how to perform the same type of imitation.

The final getsuga tenshou is exactly the same as Letzt Stil. He lost all his spirit powers by activating and using it the same way Uryuu Ishida did. When Ichigo was stabbed with a sword full of energy to get his spirit powers back he was stabbed in the same exact spot that Ryuuken Ishida shot Uryuu with an arrow to get him his spirit powers back. (19mm to the right of the heart.)

www.mangahere.com/manga/bleach/v26/c226/15.html and the next 2 pages.
Absolutely exhausted, 19mm to the right of the heart: www.mangahere.com/manga/bleach/v51/c459/13.html

I still not sure on how to properly tie in the hollow powers besides writing it off as caused by hollowfication when he barely managed to get his real shinigami powers in the first place. Although if I do actually just do that then both his hollow powers and his shinigami powers are what makes up himself, or rather his spirit energy. And since he's using his quincy-ness to use his own spirit energy instead of external energy to manifest/materialize his spirit weapon, that would mean that the spirit weapon would in fact be made from both his hollow and shinigami powers. Which would make inner hollow ichigo and zangetsu the same person, which they are.

Although it's possible that getsuga is a hollow technique since hollow ichigo keeps going on about how he used gave it to ichigo.

Also: www.mangahere.com/manga/bleach/v25/c219/17.html
Hollow Ichigo = Hollow; Zangetsu = Shinigami; Ichigo = Quincy. All three powers combined make up the whole. Possibly Ichigo is 'quincy' by default, during hollow transformations the hollow would be the king, and if the shinigami powers/zangetsu were the king he'd look like he did during the final getsuga tenshou mode. Which would make sense seeing as how an extreme overload of his shinigami powers so great it would cause him to lose them (hello Letzt Stil) would therefore cause his outward appearance to be closer to zangetsu's.

www.mangahere.com/manga/bleach/v45/c408/9.html
He's never properly done **** with zangetsu, only forcefully taken techniques. That'd be a good reason why asauchi hates his ***.

So much rambling that is possibly correct. I probably should have just slept instead of looking up this ****.

So ... Hollowfication is like a zombie infection? Blood born pathogen transmitted like mosquitoes? Maybe I just missed it, but is Madara just an insufferable jerkass or did he actually have a reason? I can't wait for the eventual Luffy vs. Bellomy rematch, though I'm dreading sitting through yet another tournament based storyline. Then again, it's One Piece so who knows. In other news, Volg finally wins after being robbed of the first down.

I've been threatening to start reading Hunter X Hunter, and after finally catching up on the anime I guess I might be sort of kind of closer to that. Slowly catching up on Toriko as well.

Well thinking about it, maybe it's not so much a "hollow" bite as an Annacarr bite? Maybe has something to do with the Hogyoku's power to turn things into Hollows? That may explain some weird things like the hollow hiding in Ichigo, Ichigo's Shinigami Powers even without being dead, How Ichigo beat Aizen?

IIRC the reason he won wasnt because he overpowered Aizen but the Hogyoku found Aizen unworthy. Maybe the Hogyoku transferred its powers to Ichigo via that "Experiment" when It bit his mother? It layed dormant in her blood since she was a full blooded human(Quincy). But Ichigo was the product of a Shinigami and a Human, and after Ichigo showed it he was willing to do anything to win it choose him. I remember Aizen saying that it was part of him now even if it wasnt in his body. Maybe the same idea, its with Aizen but Loyal to Ichigo.

Also It could explain Ichigo's Zanpacto being both Hollow and Shinigami. They remark that hes "White" even if hes a Hollow because he has the soul of a shinigami. His Zanpacto is actually that Shinigami that infected his mother and infected her before Ichigo was born. This may explain why they can't 'fix' his Zanpacto, because its not a real one Its just a manifestation of how the Shinigami now Hallow that infects Ichigo perseved power is shown as a Zanpacto.

In otherwords Being attacked by a normal hallow (bite or w/e) your child has latent 'Fullbring' powers. Possibly being attacked by the Hogyoku Hollow(Arrancar) = Transfering some powers onto the unborn child or Hogyukos latent powers, possibly personality.

This all sort of explains why both the old man Zanpacto, and the Hallow Zanpacto were the same person like 2 sides of the same coin. Also this would explain Ichigos True "Hollow" form. Hes not a Hollow turned Shinigami (Arrancar) or a Shinigami turned Hollow (Vizard) but a Hollow turned Human(Quincy) mix, aka he still has his heart, and is alive. I think when he killed Ulquiorra, didn't he freak out because Ichigos Hollow "hole" closed or something maybe Im mistaking IDK.

So to break it down Ichigo is a normal human with spirital power(quincy) hes from a pure blood line, which makes his Spirital power un-normally high even untrained. Rukia transfers her power to him, giving him her Shinigami powers. Rukia gets taken, Ichigo loses her powers. Ichigo goes to Urahara to get his powers back. Urahara knows Ichigos dads a Shinigami and his mom was a quincy and was infected by a hollow before birth, possibly knows it was a Hogyoku Hollow. Pretty much forces Ichigo to almost die to awaken the dormant Arrancar "soul" in him. The Soul is still weak, but manifests as "Shinigami" powers since thats what it believes power is. Ichigo goes to Soul Society fights and almost loses a few time.

Gets trained to use "Bankai" which he confront the still weak Arrancar soul inside him, so it shows up as Old man Zangestu (Aka an Older 'weaker' version of the shinigami that was changed to the hollow "White") He teaches bankai to Ichigo, tapping into Ichigos "Quincy" powers to absorb the spirit particles around him to some extent and "power" up faster. In the heat of battle the Hollow side of Zangestu gets enough power (From being in 'Bankai') to overtake Ichigos body for a moment during the fight.

Ichigo prevails, then gets beat by the Arrancars, and trains in Bankai (which speeds up the hollow power growth) and faces the Hollow version of Zangestu. Taking the "lead". Hecto Mundo Arc: Ichigo fights using Hollow form sparingly up til he needs to protect Orihime, in which he stays in hollow form. Just like Chad his Hollow form is more "powerful" here due to the places resonating with the dormant hollow inside him. Afterwords he goes after Ulquiorra. Ulquiorra has evolved farther then any other and beats Ichigo. Ichigo almost on dies, the Hogyoku hollow who is subservent sees its chance to take the lead. Regens his body and goes ballistic, tapping into Ichigos full dormant powers. Ichigo wakes up and takes back control.

Goes to fight Aizen, His dad tells him that Zanpactos never want to teach their "true" power. Ichigo confronts the now Younger Shinigami Zangestu (From asorbing Ichigos powers over time) and shows Ichigo hes both a hollow and a Shinigami, and that because Ichigo is in the lead "host" he doesnt care what Ichigo wants just that he wants to protect him. (If you think back everytime the Hollow took over he did so to protect Ichigo eg During the fight with Byakka and Ulquiorra, both times Ichigo was "losing")

Using Final Getsetsu(sp?) will pretty much use up all the Arrancars powers, and like the Quincys move to transform, stop his Quincy powers. Since its a move that uses every ounce of power. The Hogyoka, in Aizen, realizes during this attack that its being hit with its own power (Arrancar) plus a stronger human power or will then its current master and rejects Aizen. But its now part of him, so he just powers down, since it was only giving him power because he was "the King" and not "the Horse".

Xecutioner arc: Ichigo learns to use the "fullbring" which Im taking as not a hollow soul, but rather a hollow power transferred to someone attacked before birth.
Rukai stabs Ichigo, like someone else said, right at the place that jump starts a Quincy power, and transfers Shinigami power to him. Ichigo uses said powers until he gets beat trying to protect soul society, in which is Quincy powers manifest. His fake "shinigami" Zanpacto is broke. But cant be repaired becuase It was other Shinigamis power, not a real Zanpacto, as his previous Zanpactos "soul" was actually White/Zangestu and he died when he used Final Zangetsu.

Ok thats my take on it, sorry for the Thesis on Bleach. Im tired, but I started typing and it all just kinda spewed out.

Maybe we'll also find out that the Shinigami that became "White" was also a member of the Shiba Clan, hence the similar Zanpakutos of Ichishin.

Fairy Tail: So apparently Dragon Slayers are the Mega Men of their universe, which means that Gajeel has permanent access to Rogue's abilities now. It also makes me wonder if past/present Rogue learned he could steal Sting's powers during the tournament.

Also my guess is that both Sting and Rogue was supposed to come back to the past, but Sting either was ambushed by a dragon or didn't make it through the gate intact, so Rogue performed a mercy kill on him.

That seems a remarkably accurate analysis. Two or three more chapters and we should see Natsu Gajeel Wendy Dragon Force.

One thing that feels REALLY fishy in Fairy Tail...

If the Eclipse Gate can be used in such a dangerous way against the dragons, why did the dragons even bother leaving it standing in their future? Even then, the risk that someone could go back in time to warn people is enough merit on its own to blow it up to pieces.

So I really wouldn't be surprised if Eclipse being used as a cannon is what drags in the dragons in the first place, but I guess everyone is expecting that, right?

Completion of the time loop. Future Lucy has to go back in time in order to protect Sarah Connor warn the Princess, which makes her use the gate, which pulls the dragons through to the present. Future Lucy dies to close off that part of the loop, and present Lucy survives in order to continue the main loop.

If it was never used against the dragons in the future then they'd have no reason to destroy it maybe?

Speaking of, I just finished watching Fairy Tail, and that was a remarkably bizarre place to end it. I kind of figure the reason they're going on hiatus is because they just don't want to go into Filler Hellâ„¢ like certain other series liked to, but even then it's like right in the middle of the arc. Guess there's no real good options for them at that point. The last fight was still exceptionally well animated and done, so no real regrets. Not as awesome as Erza's Tower Escape, but still exciting and enjoyable to watch. Just hope it comes back soon, though outside Erza vs. Other Swordswoman Who's Name I can't Remember, Grey vs. Red Mage, Gajeel vs Rogue there really isn't much left in the tournament I'm really looking forward to seeing. Which, on second thought I guess is still kind of a lot. I just kind of want the current story arc to end and we move on to the next one.

Someone explain to me how the Four Hokages were resurrected, even though three of them were supposed to be trapped in the Shinigami's stomach for all eternity? I've been reading random parts of the manga so I missed that section (and I'm too lazy to look for it).

Also.

I was wondering about that as well, but not so much that I put any real thought into it. It feels like it'd be better to just let it go and not think about it. Also, what happened to Sai? I can't remember the last time I've seen emoboys replacement.

I know, I know. She doesn't have anything to really do with it blah blah blah.

Damn it Urahara, always having to be behind everything.

To answer the question about how the 3rd and 4th came back:

http://www.mangahere.com/manga/naruto/v60/c618/13.html

If you read the page before that, they had to get the Death god mask from Uzumaki Clans hidden shrine, then summon it allow it to possess you and then he cut open his own belly (which the death god followed his actions) which released the souls it had been holding ,allowed him full use of his hands then, they sacrificed those plant dudes hiding in Sasuke's body to preform the Edo Tensei.

Paying close attention lol? I actually wondered the answer myself and figured they would explain it right before they summoned the Old Hokages. I was thinking it was a complete handwave myself for a bit there. Then I just went back back a few chapters and saw that :P I completely forgot about the chapter myself, until i re-read it 5 mins ago
