Someone mentioned Koihime Musou, or Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei.
I haven't heard of Koihime Musou before, so I can't say.
Zetusubou didn't fit my personal taste. It's a comedy anime, but it does comedy similarly to Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star, and Seinfield. The majority of the jokes are very blunt, drawn out, and can be seen long coming. Some people like that humor, but I do not. All the characters in Zetsubou exist as intentional cliches, and a lot of the humor around them is a form of "Ha, we know this is cliche, but we're doing it anyway, isn't that funny?" Like Sakaki in Azumanga with cats, whenever she tried to pet a cat you knew exactly what was going to happen, and it happened every time. The joke was that she kept doing it despite the audience knowing that she would never succeed. Too drawn out, too slow, and too predictable for my taste. There are some gems in Zetsubou, but they are scattered amongst a lot of pebbles.
