You can't sell Homam or Byakko's Haidate - Ra/Ex. Could be suggesting he can merc them, but frankly if you're leading an endgame shell you shouldn't NEED to resort to petty theft(LS banks being a different story).

Today, I was Dual boxing/Power leveling my alt character Racingjaw (which was WAR14/MNK7 at the time) EXPing and camping LL in S Gustaberg. Figured If I am leveling melee jobs on this dude; some Bounding boots would be nice. :P Then, I get a tell from Rycho asking if I want to do a SMN burn...

I didn't think of who it was at first because Rycho isn't all that well known to me. (Unlike lolvaldan, lolgalan and them other upstarts...) I just assumed like any old pick up that they were looking for a syncee buddy and I was the one they chose. Boy wasn't I lucky~ Or was I?

After some thought and waiting for lizards to spawn again (RAWR! LL has cost me sleep before... I don't want that to happen again! >:/) I decided that I would go and see what this SMN Burning was all about as I have never done it before. :o

I turn up to be invited into a party which consisted of Portcity, Psycunos, Rycho, Forzaken and someone else I can't seem to recall... This rang alarm bells in my head and I was somewhat thinking that something isn't looking all that well for some odd reason.

I'm in the party and I ask for a recap of the pull because I didn't want to "mess it up." Then Deathbeckons /tells me and said that things aren't exactly looking what they seem and that they are out to con me. (Thanks for that dude... Helped my decision there! D:) Convo is here:

That just confirmed even more suspicions for me as I am trying to ponder how they can con me. If DB is truthful in what he says then why would they offer a potential 500k spot for free? "I get EXP from this surely?"

Whilst I was in mid thought: "Party invitation~" was played and my main (Ciaranjgw) was invited by another SMN named Tygur. I don't remember being told that I needed someone to hold my hand while pulling... Suspicion grew larger. I pondered on it a bit longer whilst making it look like I was rather clueless on the immediate subject and have no idea what I was doing.

(Tygur) grab a gigas on the way too just not a stonemason

Then it hit me.

What I foresaw is if I actually pulled the mobs and they are in range of AF, Racingjaw will be booted and within the 30 secs of level sync still being active will invite the other SMN and AF the mobs and thus leave me with no EXP and a character robbed of a level that was honestly gained.

I wasn't going to be taken for a mug! I make up a quick story to say that something has happened and I need to go afk, that I can't do it and to apologise for wasting their time. (I only did this so that if I was being paranoid they would be able to understand and actually find someone else.) They immediately question why I have left the party even though I did explain that I had to go. Also, they kept pestering me. If they weren't so suspicious then why would they be so persistent? If they were honest they would try looking for someone else. They didn't want their bait to come off the hook just yet!

I let them know the real reason after they triggered my failsafe. I told them that I was on to their plan and that they were looking to con me out of this escapade and the time spent feeding EXP to these bunch of cons! There was silence for a while and then reassurance that, that wasn't going to happen. I ignored them and then promptly logged out of game to avoid any more potential hassle.

well, your linkshell doesnt exactly have a very good reputation. now that vicious has moved on, i do believe SS has taken the 'most hated ls on lakshmi' slot.

Yeah, I guess it sort of boils down to paranoia but it was more an intuition thing to me. Can't exactly ask a Robber if they are going to go rob a bank today can we? They will more than likely reply with a no and still do it... or not... I just didn't want take the chance with someone I didn't know.



Deathbeckons wasn't in the party. He /tell'd me halfway through the whole ordeal to let me know that I was going to be walking into something that isn't nice. If anything he helped me make a decision to bail out on it. :3



My collective thoughts and suspicious led me to conjure a "what if" scenario after a while. If all these raised suspicions and the advice from DB was true then I foresaw this to happen:

Im agreeing with ciaran here...miracles and anybody like him is what makes any linkshell bad. but anduril is always getting shat on by other lss's because they steal our mobs when they go yellow for a brief second...next time think about that...because we f&cking respect other ls's if they go yellow...so f&cking respect us.
