i got an idea today while in school
i sya sum1 makes a Dragonslayer linkshell
all you would use the ls for is hunting dragons
ALL of them too
Jormungand
Fafnir
Vrtra
Tiamat
Ouryu
Nidhogg
and so on
i dont know y but i just went with ppl to try and kill vrtra, but of course he kinda just said no and slapped us down
but ever since ive seen pics of these dragons ive wanted to kill them all
thats my goal b4 i quit ffxi kill all dragons at least 1 time
anyway if any1 is interested i would like to be in an existing dragon ls or start 1 (SAM72/THF36)
(my god ls wont fight dragons =(

if u want to kill vrtra and others like that just join a LS like SnD or such that have already killed it a few times atleast.

That's much easier said than done. The standards of SearchAndDestroy, TheFallenAngels, and other LS of that size and quality are impossibly high. Unless you are 75 (Preferably on more than 1 job), Have a good amount of merits, and the BEST gear possible, Good luck being even considered as an applicant.
I heard that if someone create a LS only to kill dragon, Bahamut come down and eat every members everywhere (even in Jeuno)

It's not often I disagree with you Barry, but not all shells are like that. I say this both as a sackholder of WingedSymphonyz and someone who has friends in other shells that got in at 70+. I can't speak for the recruiting practices of other shells, but I can tell you that we look more at player skill and reputation than if they have the best gear. Reason being that the gear will eventually come with time. But even being as pimped as possible won't make it up if the person is unsavory (not the word I really wanted to use).

The reason the requirements are "impossibly high" is it takes a group of incredibly skilled players to defeat a wyrm. Any linkshell can get a group of people to fight Vrtra or even claim one of the more highly camped wyrms, but very few linkshells can actually win.
Also, I agree with Gotti on the gear issue. I don't think it's as influential as player skill and reputation. Many linkshells, including tFA, will help you get the gear you need.
