Economy?Follow

After having put up with the 12 yearolds in WoW trying to tell me how to play a job I kind of grew tired of it and have started debating tossing the character to my friend and going back to FFXI for the summer. No, this would not be a permanent stay, just some summer time fun to kill time after work or when I'm not out with friends. So, I was wondering what the economy was like? Did it get any better since they apparently removed billions of gil from the game? Also, is there anyone still around? I kind of lack the desire to continue playing a game where I have to start over money wise (Yes, I gave away my gil and sold off all the nice gear you see in my profile) and have to start trying to find people to converse with. And for all those wondering, yes WoW is just as easy as everyone thinks it is. Don't tell them that, they seem to think the game is difficult for some reason.

Actually, I wouldn't say the economy is the same as it was at Christmas. In fact, I believe it's much better. The Adaman set went down about 2.5 million as well as many other pieces of equipment (specifically tanking). Miscellaneous things have gone down but I would agree with SirPerdition whereas the prices of high-end melee pieces such as Haubergeon and Scorpion Harness have remained at their steady price.

Well, good to see someone wants me back around.haha Anyway, I haven't 100% decided one way or another I basically am sucked into WoW's PvP, but thats about it. If the game didn't have that, I would have quit after about 15 minutes. Another issue is trying to figure out my summer. If I work hours where I won't be able to see my friends often, I probably will come back. If I work hours I have alot of free time and can see friends, theres a big chance I won't be in any MMO.

Also, no teasing barry. Hes my taru buddy. You insult him, you deal with a rather annoyed monk...ey. :)

the economy will nvr be as good as it was before RMT but it is alot more workable, alot of things had jumped over a mil and are now back down to reasonable prices IE for me diamond rings are going for about 260k, around febuary they hit about 1.2 mil. now the prices on low lvl gear has shot up, mostly cause of all the new jobs being played from the expansion and the new xbox players. astrals for instance had dropped back down to a little over a mil then went back to about 2.5mil after the expansion release, i feel they'll go back down after the new jobs get higher again and the AH gets flooded with them. weskit went to about 13 mil and is down to about 6-7mil i believe. with the crack down on gil buying and RMT we have seen alot in price dropping.

Nah, Tolite. Keep the mitts. I bought alot of people things when I left. Besides, I can always make money. I can always farm quadavs and desynth away, it would take a bit but it is workable.
