Hello everyone. Well, I've found myself logging on and off of Lakshmi for the past few weeks. I've leveled three characters in various jobs, but I feel like crap when ever I actually try to do anything. Maybe its because I got used to being a level 30 character. Advice or hints that may help me keep interest in triing to return to this server would be helpful.
On the upside i just ran my second character to jeuno as a lvl 1 mage

be honest? the beginning of the game sucks. grind it out, get yourself up high enough where you can do fun stuff and enjoy the game! i have enjoyed 90% of the things i do in this game and if you just simply cant enjoy it then give it up.
Deathbeckons is right on the money. Nothing is going to get you inspired to rise through the ranks like actually sucking it up and going level-crazy to get past the early stages. In fact, if you have a day free, firing your way through the Dunes is easily done in one day if you're determined. And putting a whole bunch of levels on your character can really get your blood flowing. Sure, you may start out at a measley level 10, but once you've slogged it out to level 17 or so, you're soon realising it's not that difficult to jump up levels. Before you know it, you'll be lv 30 again, and free to continue even higher, or follow the career of your choice!
Running somewhere high-ish level as a lv 1 character always gets people looking at you strangely. I recall running from Windurst to Bastok as a level 1 Tarutaru BLM once, and you always get a tonne of people looking at you strangely and thinking, "What on earth is someone so weak doing in this place?" High-larious! ^_^

LOL yea i got slapped alot for it. funniest part was when I ran to the Harald in Meriphataud Mountains and started asking people when I could sign up for ballista, then I used my scroll of stone.

I got level 12 recently and am working on getting my character out of the dunes. It is a slow process but one that must be done. Hopefully I will have my main to level 18 and be working my sub job by 5-6-06. I'm starting to get more interested in returning to this server. My main purpose in coming back is to get a friend of mine that stopped leveling when I switched servers to start playing again. She is a level 28RDM. My little brother told me that she logs on from time to time to see if I have returned, but only finds that I am still busy working on my character on the server Leviathan. I want to be on this server more, because my friends on Leviathan have pretty much quit playing the game.
