Y'know how you're out there, hunting the armor for mochi, and then this Mithra armor comes up and one-shots you out of nowhere and runs off like Sonic the Hedgehog?

Yep. That's the one. >.>

We talked to some other people out there and put together an alliance. In the end we had seventeen to eighteen people out there beating on it with sticks, not counting the people outside the alliance. It was right outside the Windurst gates, and any time we got KOed we'd just run back out there and try again.

We were still dropping like flies! But I think our breakthrough came when we realized we could buff ourselves before heading out there. I put up Blink, Stoneskin and Phalanx, and everyone else must have too because all of a sudden we weren't dying. The armor kept switching targets, so it took it awhile to wear any one of us down. And it was so very satisfying to hear all those Enthunder sound effects from a mob of people beating on it with Lotus Katanas.

Several kind people Raised those who died and remembered they'd left HP in Jeuno. Kudos also go to the leaders of the other parties, Moosen and ... someone whose name starts with V, I don't remember! And everyone else who was in the alliance. I think Zellchaver started it, although he had to drop out pretty quickly.

It was like herding cats. I wasn't even sure what the white and yellow dots next to my name meant. But Shykre was there pulling, providing moral support and overall helping co-ordinate things. As far as I'm concerned he was in charge. When they hold the elections, he has my vote. (^.^)b

In the end, someone else got the drop. We tried /shouting and asking what it was, but no one would tell us. I think it may have been a JP player. I got discouraged and logged out right there, after giving leader to someone else.

Later on Ravenarchon told me somebody said all it drops are gold carps. He thinks SE didn't actually intend for us to beat it. Personally, I'm glad. I don't want to have to do all that over again. ^.^;

Despite being discouraged, it was great fun. Thanks to everyone else who participated!

I don't fully understand the purpose of this event...Meaning, I got my Lotus Katana and I understand I need to talk to a nomad moogle. I also understand that I have to fight something...but what do I get out of all of this? Anything worthwhile?

Ok, I also see people's screenshots fighting these things in Gustaberg and such, at least I think. I'm from Sandy so does that mean the nomad moogle is in town by the gates? (I haven't logged on since I got my Katana, I logged right after that)

Anyone know anything about teh stables neck armour?

I usually dont partake events anymore, cause i suck like that. But msotly the reqards are cheap gimmicks that jsut fill one more slot in my MH >:P

Im a pack-rat so I generally keep everything. Maybe its about time I find out more about NPC storage haha ^^; 'Cause the minute I toss something, I need it like teh next day for something or other heh >.<

there will be a nomad moogle right outside of sandy although i dont know which zone it will be, for bastok it was at the bastok mines zone.

the stables necklaces will (i think) warp you from anywhere to the stables that they say they will warp you to when you use them.

That was Vizura <sp> I had a great time even though someone else got the drop. Everyone worked together cleverly as a team.I'm glad my LS Mate Wiegraf drug me out there and I was suprised to see Shy and Viz there.

Good Times Lakshmi thank you^^

Yeah, the Stable Collars work just like a Warp Cudgel. They can warp you to your nation's Chocobo Stables. The recharge on them is 24 hours and there are 10 charges...I think. I got one from the Gold World Pass and used it up already, they're pretty handy.

And it was Shykry not Shykre sneaky mule logged on all by itself, knocked out Shykre and pretended to be him! (except about 4 feet shorter, lack of bardism)
