XBox 'newbs' =^.^=Follow

i told some random noob with a female char that i wasnt wearing any pants. does that count as helping? (my char really wasnt wearing any pants lol)

i was playing around with COR and saw some guy call for help on a bee. so i helped. and got yelled at:

"Hey! I was fighting that! Why'd you hit my bee??"

i explained the call for help function, and he still was angry at me.

oh well.

I helped out a Xbox newbie this weekend. He was sitting in Bastok asking if anyone could get him started. So, I told him how to get rid of his question mark, And how to trade his Adventurer Coupon in.

So, I give him 20k, Buy him his level 1 WAR gear, And tell him how to make a few macros. Told him about the solo to 10 or 15 then party thing, And told him to check mobs before he fought them. (Left that out at first, And he went after a Quadav at level 2.. Oops ^^) Then he asked how to get a LS, So I gave him a pearl to one of mine. He asked me how to talk in there, So I said.

"Just type /l before whatever you want to say"

And apparently he thought the "l" was a "1".. And he was confused XD

He is most definitely the least newbish newb i've ever met. He studied up on jobs and whatnot, And plans already on being a NIN or SAM, As he is majoring in some Ancient Japanese culture course in College.

Told him about the other little stuff. Signet, Rank Missions, Quests. At one point he asked "Is everyone on the game friendly? I've talked to a few people so far, And they were all great"

..So I explained the little tidbit of RMT's and the world of HNM's.

I also explained not to drop his Beastmen Seals... Which I did when I was a newb ; ;

Ive helped 3 noobs YAY! First was a monk in south gusta talking in /say where to get a SJ. So I told him he got it at lvl 18.

Next was in windy when I was walking to inner horroto ruins to help a friend with a mission. A lvl 2 asked me where I was going and started to follow. There were like 20 yags in front of us, so I told him "I'm going to a dangerous place, STAY AWAY!" Then I killed all the yags.

Last one was a lvl 8 WAR with a.. a... sword eek! So I told him WARs were best with axes and great axes. He said he couldn't afford anything cause he just bought the sword. So I bought him butterfly axe and showed him where he could buy the bronze harness set and eventually the scale set. I told him the best ways to get money and killed all the nearby quadav lol.

You're sick. Brainwashing these poor newbs so young, You should be ashamed!

You gotta give SE props on their timing. There's a ton of COR & PUP & BLU all out there & ready to teach all the newby Xboxers so that they can have a good whm or rdm...

im an xbox noob lol ive bin adopted by about 3 main people te first person to help me was Lordbosco she took me and my friend and tryed to help us level up and helped us do a few missions and told me about this site i then asked her to take me to juneo i was level 7 by this time she sed i wud die strait away n sed i couldent do it so wen i was level 10 i got bored and decided wot the hell i will give it a go and i did it i got all the way to juneo dogeing all the enimes lol then wen i was in there i cud do jack so i was just sayin help over and over again untill imani came to me and took me on a tele to mea (im a windy taru btw) she then helped me level up 4 a bit and helps me out wen i have questions and then there is gamermadness who just helps me with all the little things oh and silverkadaj helped me 1nce or 2wise oh and a person called phill got me and my m8 all r subjob iteams and im now a level 19 blm and level 6 whm going places if only i had gil now lol but im up to be adopted again lol just send me a tell or friend request gamexxover

I met a guy in Windy, level 15 warrior, still decked out in full Bronze Harness set. He had solo'd to 15 in that.

I got him set up with a new, more curent set of armor, persuaded him to switch to an axe from a sword, and tried to help him get the hang of macros.

Unfortunately, he didn't have a keyboard, so programming macros proved difficult.


Last night, I saw him in Valkurm at 19. I went out to help get his subjob items (ended up taking him to Gusgen for the skull, got Dem crystal on the way). A friend of mine came to help in Gusgen with TH.

We went with him back to selbina to finish his quest, and then I had a talk with him about subjobs.
He thought /WHM would bepretty cool, the whole being able to heal yourself thing and all...

We talked about how, from this level on, he could pretty much expect to do all his EXP'ing in a party, and how a party is built of people each with their own role to play.
We talked about how chosing a subjob is best based on the consideration of how it can add to the primary focus of the main job, and he came to understand that while WAR/WHM might be something useful to use in certain situations, it wasn't going to enable him to be the best WAR he could be for his party.

We took him to Bastok and introduced him to the rent-a-room, he changed his main to monk, and started leveling up.
