/welcome to the new blacklist. You've just been added. ^^

hahhahah! Just kidding.. sorry bored at work.

I've seen a blacklist, but I believe people just write up a personal story about the person they've been done wrong by now. So that blacklist thread is burried somewhere deep in the pages of Alla.

Black is actually considered more politically correct than colored.

I don't understand why it was ever referred to as "Colored".

Isn't Black in the dictionary with the definition: "The absence of color"? So it would be.. Uncolored? <.<;

Dependent on society really.

If you called a "Coloured" a "Black"(or African or Kaffir) in South Africa 20 years ago you would probably have had a fight on your hands.

Coloured was the term assigned to those individuals of mixed racial ancestery of a predominantly African bent whereas Black(or african or Kaffir) was reserved for people that were less closely related through ancestry to the conqouering whites.

To be Coloured was to know privelege to be black was to know squalor.

I hope that this discussion only further illustrates that regardless of use any term is pejorative and that "race" is nothing but a construct.
