well i have heard the economy is fubar on some servers so my obvious question is...transferring to Lakshmi from the Hydra beta server...how is the economy here?

Personaly I'd say it's pretty viable. You farm and such, you'll make it.
Well I will give you a pre-/welcome.
Stuff cost a lot... all the way down so it all evens out. Ya the big ticket items are way up there, but they are not really out of reach due to the fact crafting materials that you can farm easily have a good going rate and turn over quickly.

for DRG the most common subs are WAR THF (post 60 usually) and WHM (post AF helm it turns dragoon into a little healing machine and makes soloing easier ^^)
80% of the time youll sub WAR in a PT because of berserk, provoke, double attack
15% will be THF, for SATA+WS
5% will be WHM, if you ever see a PT willing to try it, or if you solo.
(keep in mind those numbers are semi made up ^^)

Put also a 5% /sam when the drg is the sole skillchain partner of the sam, you'll want the most TP faster to "try" and keep up for the sam. It will be usefull in a setup like this:
PLD, SAM, DRG, WHM, BLM, BLM
the 2 blm would want to MB as often as possible, so the sam and drg would want to do the max number of SC per fight. hence the /sam to drg
But I agree in the fact of /war will be used a lot more than any other...

Not Particularly, for the most part its not really worth the trouble for alot of people. Most people generally dont keep lvl20 cap gear handy for one. And then theres the sheer rediculousness of going with a nitwit alliance that results in utter chaos 99.9% of the time...
Ive been on one, and only one ever in my way early days. We had a higher level escort, and still barely managed to win the big fight. Im sure its probably not THAT hard, but you know how alliance mentatlity and performance is...

I got a 20 SMN spot, the downside is, I've had the Bastok Eco quest flagged since about the time I started playing, and would have to get that cleared out first.
