i need to ask a technical questionFollow

hello,
i have a question, survey, maybe a plea for help.
first of all has anyone ever had a problem that as soon as they zoned into somewhere they got "completely" booted out of the game...as in the entire program shuts down and pol even crashes.
i log back in; same ...now here is the kicker... i can get onto both of my mules, with no problems.

this is the exact occurrence of events leading to this phenomenon(sp) i had just recently cleared the promy's and headed to tavnazian safehold. then immediately did the quest to get my map, then planned on head to phomiuna aqueducts to go get my subligar for my gaudy harness ^^/... as soon as i started to "zone" into phomiuna. ...*BAM* crash... WTF
i log back in ...get the "oh there is another player with that name still logged in BS" so i give it a couple of minutes...attempt to log on again...*BAM* same damn thing...
so the next time i attempt to log into my mule...no problems, i log out and attempt with other mule...no problems *WTF* so i try my main again...*BAM* everything crashes..FFXI & POL even get the windows crash message wanting me to report it.
if there is ANYONE that can give me some assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.

thank you in advance.

Might be a corrupted file, do a file check when you open POL.

Or computer overheating ^^;

thank you for the replies, i've done a file check all 22000 or so files check good... as for the overheating i've also checked that even tried at it after letting cpu and all components cool down for a bit~ still nothing...if there was a corrupt file...wouldn't affect my mules?

thanks again for the reply

Well I could give you the traditionnal answer Microsoft gives.... try re-installing. If the crashing only started recently, it's probably a corrupted file or a registry setting. And depending which file it is, it might not affect your mules.

This is a corrupt file i have the same issue, if you have a trusted friend you can log into your charactor on his machine and move your charactor out of the zone then log back in on your machine, it has to do with your machine missing something (or corrupted) for this zone.

I ran into this same issue but mine was rolanberry fields and still havent taken the time to reinstall FFXI
