Okay, a while back, a thread here led to the creation of a Promy party or two, and I don't know how that turned out, but I was on the list to go until my connection crapped out on me, forcing me to miss it.
Now I'm back in action, and I'd REALLY like to be able to get these last 2 Promies done, so if your LS is planning on doing them or if you set up a party and need a good DD, here's what I have to offer:
WAR/mnk or WAR/nin (I am HAPPY to tank as /MNK w/ a good WHM)
DRK/war or DRK/rng
I know many people assume that DRK would suck at Promy, but here's just a few things I have up my sleeve:
2 Shikaree Rings, an Optical Earring, and Royal Squire's Mufflers, for the largest accuracy bonus possible at this level.
(/RNG would offer me the Accuracy Bonus trait, on top of this.)
An Axe Belt, which gives me +5 G. Axe skill when /WAR. This means that my G. Axe skill exceeds a 30WAR's, and it's higher now than my Scythe or G. Sword skill is, making my Sturmwinds rock.
(If I came as WAR main, I'd use a Brave Belt instead.)
Capped Dark Magic and a gear swap set that gives me +9 INT. In XP parties, my Drains and Aspirs have proven to be highly effective.
Just about THE best overall gear set possible for WAR or DRK at level 30. This never hurts.
PROPER FOOD: I use Rice Dumplings, which give me +5 additional accuracy, as well as a large attack bonus and other benefits.
Additionally, I'd love to farm Anima ahead of time, I'm not an idiot, so I won't get you killed, and I'd LOVE to do the ENMs once we reach the top.
Sorry about the blatant bragging, but if I don't sell myself here, what makes you want to invite me over any other DRK/war or WAR/nin that's looking for a Promy party?

As an afterthought, if I get the choice, I'd prefer to come as DRK over WAR, but it's up to the person making the party.

Hey, I will be leading Mea and Dem with my LS this saturday at 6pm eastern. Our War/Nin dropped his spot due to personal reasons. Our line up is as follows:

As much as I hate to do this, I can't take that spot.
I work in a restaraunt as a waiter. My weekends are basically the busiest work days of my week.
I'm on a double Saturday, and it's impossible for me to make the run. ; ;

My brother Ulyoath needs Holla and Dem still. He can go as a BLM or a WHM. He's quite eager to get them done, so if you see him online feel free to send him a tell. Unless he's in a party, he'll probably join you. He's got the whole weekend free.

i need mea done. i will do holla again if we can get a team and some members need to do it still too. i have a few jobs i can fill in as. war/nin, nin/war, war/mnk, mnk/war, whm/blm are the only combos that are typically looked at as my jobs that can go. i have a full set of shade armor and i think i still have some anima. i do not have any weapons for any job at 30, so a good days notice to be sure i can buy some, or equipment for my whm that has been put on the shelf once it hit 37. but i will go as whatever i need to be to help the team.
Oh, I just finished farming all 3 kinds of anima today, so if/when I can form or join a party, I'm completely ready.
ick shade gear @_@ people really need to realize that **** is garbage... killer effects = you have a chance of intimidating a mob of that type. killer effect are also based off your chr. at this level you arent really gonna have **** for chr and pretty much dont have a chance in hell of intimidating anything (ive seen it happen a few times though....)

i dont know, it helps in farming anima, i farm it as bst. i just know most ppl on the server expect wars to have this armor in promy.
Note that Killer effects can only proc if you have hate. As for proc rate, it's not just your CHR I'm sure, it's probably compared to the level and CHR of the mobs too, which are also low in Promyvion.
I've heard that the proc rate on Empty Killer is usually decent enough to make it worthwhile, but you will still want animas for the bosses. I don't know if it works any better by having more than one piece of the gear, but my advice would be to possibly wear Shade gear for the item slots where the Eisen/Kampf gear isn't as effective.

3 points to fynlar! im sure the level of the mob your fighting affects intimidation rate but i doubt chr (of the mob) does...

Well, I wouldn't know either way, but I do know that with most offensive actions in this game that rely on an offensive stat, there is also a defensive stat of the target that is factored in as well. For instance, attacker's STR vs defender's VIT. Or DEX vs AGI. Or MND vs MND and INT vs INT. Just seems logical that a CHR based "ability" could also be defended against by an appropriate stat, and I don't know what it would be besides CHR.
But why the hell am I rambling about CHR? Just go in, get to the Spire and try not to aggro too much on the way, and anima the boss to death. Not too bad unless you get one of those nasty 3rd floors with obstacles or narrow paths, and usually a metric ****-ton of mobs guarding them. Remember that sometimes you may be better off pulling and fighting one mob at a time than you are trying to MGS your way through it and end up dying in an unfavorable spot.

Wasn't my intent to derail, a good portion of the OP was talking about Promy gear, and that is what Shade gear is.
I'm not stopping anyone that wants to help organize Promy runs from posting here.
