Pardon my ignorance, but is there any actual use to this item besides skillup? The damage seems too pathetic to ever make it a useful weapon, and it's not like it's a Kraken Club that can be offhanded to provide TP for a stronger weapon...

Well just to skillup with is all i want it for, thats why i was saying anyone going to kill him anyway.. I dont expect someone to go out of there way.. Just a shot in the dark i guess...

and seeing how its R/E the only way is to be there when he dies...

Good luck getting a linkshell to let you participate in fighting Jormungand, much less lotting on the drop. Your best bet would to apply to an HNMls that has done Jormungand in the past and hope you get in. Even if you DO get in, you'll have to save points[which can take a long time] to lot on the item, assuming the shell has a point system.

Regarding the skill ups comment, the pole has much more desirable features such as +30 mp. It's a nice alternative for a Kirin's Pole, if you don't have one.

Well i wouldnt see the pole being that much of an issue as its a side drop.. the main drops are materials for Dragon Harness (i think), well even if i dont get the help, oh well it was mainly just a hey if anyones going that way can i get a ride type thing..

It is true that Jormungand drops the Wyrm horn, which is the main ingredient in making a Dragon Harness, along with other expensive materials. Even though it is a side drop, it's a GOOD side drop. It's not as much of a luxury as other CoP wyrm drops such as Herald's Gaiters. Not quite the type of item a linkshell would give away. If you want a good staff to skill up with, I'd reccomend a Master Caster's staff, if you can get your hands on one.

Oh, it's got +MP? Didn't know that.

I figured all the "mercurial" weapons were just multi-hitters, but also hit for crap. Didn't really see a point in the 2-handed ones, except for skilling up.

It's a nice toy, I mostly use it for spamming Spirit Taker, but it's also a rare drop, We've killed it about six-seven times and on just the last kill it dropped. As such it's a lot more likely to be taken by a memeber of the four NA shells currently able to kill him.

Also both Jorm and Tiamat are farmed now, offen within a hour or less of popping so it would be a task in itself being around all hours to make sure you could get up there in time before it goes down. Best bet is to apply to a end game shell that does wyrms offen and just start saving up points for it.
