I'm trying very hard not to point out all of the mistakes you made in that post... It's very hard. ^_^;

First off, Linkshells really aren't all that difficult to come by. There's a very helpful forum thread just above this one that lists many of the best Linkshells, who runs them, and who to approach to join them. Check it out, because unless you reach out first, noone's going to offer their hand in return.

Secondly, caling yourself an "elf" made me laugh, so please ensure you get your race correct, It's Elvaan, not Elven.

Thirdly, curious question: How do people pronounce "Hume"?
I imagine it's one of two ways:
"Hyoome" or "Hyoo-may" I pronounce it the second way, but then, I'm not very bright...

I say it like "human" only without the -an. If that makes any sense.

I am shocked and apalled no one told him to vote Shykre yet!

For the love of God! Shykre, quit loading up on your number of posts. People will start to think you know what the hell youre talking about with that many going.

As to the original poster, yeah...When I first started and ventured out into West Ron, I asked a kind passerbyer where the heck the inn was back in town. Being used to the FF game series, I figured it was what I had to do. Anyway, I'm guessing theres no way youve made it to Jeuno yet so do some shouting in wherever your home town is. Thats with the /sh before you type. Or look at the list on the forum here. Other point...unless your ingame name is getontheincubus, you should put some info for a signature so we know who you are.

Are you implying my turban (sexy turban, sha'ir ftw) covers an explosive device?

In any case vote Shykre, do you really want to find out?

Human with out the -an.... makes since to me, thats how I say it also. Hum [pronounced with a long U].
All the other races are pretty much common sense. I read a thread somewhere stating that basically Elvaan npc and areas are taken from a french origin. Galka were stolen from native american names,Tarutaru had a oriental flavor,Hume german, and Mithra >< cant remember.
I dont understand why jp players can speak absolutley no english and have names like 'Tribaltattoo'
can anybody explain this? You see the obvious jp names and I understand that fine but how does Jet-wu-Chong from Iwo jima end up with a name like Ronald Mcdonald? [example]

Its because even though they dont speak fluent English, english/western culture does exist over there to a greater extent than JP Culture exists over here.

Common Names or English Phrases from Pop (popular culture) are very evident worldwide. Thats why we see JP players like Slimshadey and Ronaldmcdonald both world wide icons. Other choose similar, english names based on not so popular english icons, but ones tehy are familliar with, but still english all the same.

Also, when JP players are forced to input a name in with english characters, if they choose not to use /random name, they usually fall back on simple english words tehy may have picked up in school. Basic stuff everyday words, often item names like toaster or Pencil or whatever.

This is a great online dictionary that will allow you to click a sound icon. Yes you can put in some dirty words :)

    http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/hume

If you are too lazy to click the link, hume rhymes with broom also with one syllable.

    baccus
