if you go to the playonline viewer and then select information on the top left instead of trying to sign in you will notice that SE realized the problem about 30 minutes to 1 hour ago.
currently they are trying to figure out how they fuc^ed themselves and take the *^&%*^ out there &(^ lol
i would expect a fix sometime around 11am est

servers are back up.
if problems still occur please restart your computer and try another few times. its clogging becuse everyone is rushing in at same time.

Well.. I'm past the "Verifying name and password"... But now i'm stuck at "Retrieving Messages..." It's not moving ; ;

Still having issues here. You would think these updates would be tested throughly BEFORE they release them. Has caused some major issues this time. I have had to reinstall ffxi and several updates and minor ones too.
While there are some neato things in the update, I just think they should have had the "bugs" worked out of it before release. I know that it is hard to anticipate all issues that may arise, but these issues that arose this time was major - causing users machine damage.
