I installed the expansion packs.
I did my update.
But the stupid game says the expansion packs arent registered so I cant enter these areas.
But my content id is already registered with the expansion packs via expanded services.
or will i need to call the san diego office of sony/square to get the crap situated?

Log into Playonline.
After selecting Final Fantasy XI it drops you off on a screen that allows you to view the Vanadiel Tribune, purchase your account/characters/mules and several other tabs you can click.
Under one of those, I forgot which one, I believe it is under purchase a content id but can be wrong, there is a place that asks you to register your expansion packs. Once you do this your main FFXI title Page should have the Rise of Zilart and the Chains of Promathia displayed which indicates you have registered your exp. packs.
