INT is for Magic Attack

No, MAB (Magic Attack Bonus) is a multiplier for spell damage calculated apart from INT.

I know how magic attack bonus works, and after saying I am wrong, you reconfirm that I am right...

Where? If you dont understand the difference between INT and how it affects your damage and MAB how it affects your damage then you are either:
A) Not a BLM.
B) A bad BLM.

Take your pick.

You still don't understand. I NEVER, that means did NOT say Magic Attack Bonus. NEVER NEVER NEVER. Get that into your brain. I refered to the incrrease in damage as a "Magic Attack Increase" NOT a "Magic Attack Bonus".

Therefor I was speaking in terms that was apart from the actual Magic Attack Bonus calculation. Which means when you said it is calculated different, that was exactly the "different" part I was refering to.

If you don't understand a post, ask for clarification before you pick it apart when you don't understand.

At this point your just being obstinant.

But I am going to explain this to you in a way that you MIGHT understand.

"Magic Attack" is a passive job trait. BLMs and RDMs gain BONUSES to this trait at varying levels.

"Double Attack" is a passive job Trait. WAR gains access to this trait at level 25.

Saying "INT is for Magic Attack." Is the same as saying "STR is for Double Attack." Yes INT is a factor in damage. It is not a factor in "Magic Attack" nor is it a factor to any measurable degree in resistance rates. Your entire post was wrong wrong wrong. Because I believe you dislike being corrected when you were trying to "Educate" less experienced BLMs you have refused to concede this insane debate.

Throwing E-tantrums like:

Quote:
I NEVER, that means did NOT say Magic Attack Bonus. NEVER NEVER NEVER

Is just retarded.

I too can capitalize words, AND I have access to BOLD. So I shall retort to your "NEVER NEVER NEVER" with:

you are WRONG WRONG WRONG. I hope you udnerstood this more clearly. But if you as of yet dont understand what Magic Attack and INT are I will continue to try and educate you out the kindness of my heart.

This is the last post I am going to make on this because I am tired of asshats that cannot admit when they didn't understand. I typed in caps because you interpreted how you wanted it to be said just to make yourself look good, or smart, or whatever. I don't care how you understood it, and I don't care how many times you want to say I am wrong.

You are wrong by putting words into my mouth, so to speak. You took what I typed and made it sound like I was talking about traits. I was not, you are wrong. Suck it up, and be mature, and admit you where wrong.

Some people, including myself, don't use the same terminology that is in the game. For instance, you said...

Quote:

I consider, as do others, that an increase in damage by a spell is an increase in Magic Attack. Not the specific bonus. Another example; When an item that gives additional MP, like the Astral Ring, I call it a Max MP increase. I guess this means I am speaking of the passive trait given to SMNs, even though that trait is called Maximum MP Up.

If you want to see an e-tantrum, go see one of Koroku's posts. Typing in caps is a way to ensure you read those specific words.

Again, if you do not clearly understand what a person has posted, get it clarified. Otherwise, you have no room to correct. You did not understand my post. How do I know this? Because I typed it and I know what I meant. You do not know me(and I am extremely happy for this), therefor your attempts to make me look wrong only further show that you did not know what I was talking about.

Clarity is key. Learn it, love it, live it.
