Watusa - The wacky and hilarious Elvaan that always made people laugh. Back when I first saw him I was naught but a lowly newbie WHM. But he still made an impression on me, and since then everytime I encountered him, I secretly admired him and his wit. Great guy to be around. He's also *the* person solely responsible for my switch and love of being a Monk. Him going one-on-one with a water elemental barefisted in his fishing gear on the Selbina/Mhaura ferry, and handing out a beat down with Raging Fists (first time I ever saw that weaponskill)... it was great! I decided since then to become a Monk so I can do Raging Fists as well.
I'm glad I decided to randomly check the allah forums today. Thanks man, that means a lot to me, never realized people thought about me that way. I always thought they took me as "that annoying guy who's always on the ship talking" ^^; People like you are what makes me keep playing this game, I tried coming back but my house went into renavations and haven't been able to use my tv in my room since June, but I think I'll go find a another tv in the house so I can sign on so my account won't expire just so I can be the community I loved to be with.
Who I looked up to when i first started was a NIN I met on a boat named Durason. I was in awe of his AF so I proceeded to ask him some questions on the game and he was very helpful. 3-4 months after that incident I was invited to a LS that he just happened to be in. He was one of the most helpful guys on the server and knew everything about NIN(Yes, the great Monk Watusa was a fiesty ninja before he gave into the passion of punching monsters:P)
When I switched to MNK there was a higher lvl MNK in my LS, I don't quite remember his name though but he quit the game and came back as Stormwarden. I always asked him questions and he helped me out with my MNK experience. Also a bunch of the other monks I met along the way of partying were helpful, when I was in a party with another Monk we always helped eachother out and gave eachother tips. What kept me going was my kind party members who would compliment me on the job I did in their party as a MNK, I used to get many "Wow, I never realized how good a MNK can do" which made my day. I realized once I started getting higher in level I tended to not care about the community as much and just on how "good" I can become and I started to become somewhat of an assclown, that's when the game lost my interest. Now I've realized what made that game fun and want to play again, too bad I have this obstacle in the way =P
