Do we need to have any items before we start, like these paintbrushes and stuff that I see people talking about? Or do we just need to have the mission accepted?

Ok, looks like only 1 person in the whole alliance needs the paintbrush, and a couple of people said they had one... so I guess it's just one of those things that once it's used, everyone can go through the door.
Minor update: 59 NIN, on an xp grind, so throw me down for tanking if you still need one. I'll be at least 64-65 by then, gauranteed :D

And for being 65 - I'll be making every effort to level by then (believe me, I want 65 more than anyone else wants me to get it) But due to still being in school, and some busy weekends, I can't guarantee anything. But I'll be going at the level grind as much as I can til then ([Party][Can I have it?] Static made me forget how hard it was to seek party...)

I would like to join Currently I have either a 63 Whm or a 62 Drg. Whm will be 65+ by then for sure and I hope to have Drg up there too.
Ok this is a BIG IF, but if I can get Monday off, then you can count me in here. I need ZM8+ but can help on all the rest if needed. BLM66+ depending on if I level or not.
If you need me, I can lend a hand. I can't play until 1st July, so my job levels will probably be fairly close to what they are now (BLM71, BST65.)
I have the paintbrush (need just one for the whole alliance) and I'm pretty sure I still have an unlit lantern hanging around (need four for the whole alliance - assuming everyone gets through the door in time.)
I can solo the lantern dropping mobs with my BST (can also solo the ones that drop the key for the Paintbrush, if you want one.) So I could take a group of people off to farm those, maybe a few days before the marathon run? Farming them with a THF would be preferable though, as there are only a few spawns in the area with pets so it can take a while to get enough drops.
I've beaten Kam' two times, and the Magic Pot NM also two times, so hopefully those fights should go well :)

Whm is 64, but I can't get a group as drg at all. Everytime I try and start a party most of the people I invite respond with {Dragoon} {Too Weak} 
That said I want a job at 75 so I can experiance "End Game", so my Drg is on hold till Whm hits 75.

An update on me: I had a couple weeks away from the game, but I'm back with a vengeance and just hit 64 yesterday. I am predicting to be 66 by the time this goes off.
