So, um, is there actually a point for Protectra V and Shellra V merits now? WHM and SCH will be able to use it with Accession...

Also those new PLD abilities look yummy.

And DRG/SAM getting Sekkanoki and Conserve TP? I can't wait!

I wish they'd just change the Protectra V and Shellra V merits into straight bonuses to all Protect and Shell spell for WHM.

But it's looking like the single target versions for RDM and SCH won't get the same bonuses like the fully merited verions do.

I thought about that... the merited spells would definitely be more potent, but still... most people I know only merit Shellra V so it reduces 25% of magic damage... because MDT caps at 50% and tanks generally have a MDT kit that can cover the other 25%.

Because every party has a SCH, right?

And I think it's obvious that Pro/Shell V will only be as potent as 1 merit into the -ras.

Cept SCH doesn't get it just yet (maybe 81+?) RDM gets protect V but not shell V.
