Minimaru, the new Shadow Lord? I think soFollow

Then use your Shadow Powers and get Kolvar out the Iron Bar Mog House before something terrible happens to him....Like he drops the soap. XD

Minimaru lunged foward just as Kolvar did too. THeir swords met in midair, sparks of lightning flying from them. They both fell back, but instantly Minimaru struck again, catching Kolvar off guard. Pieces of stone fell from his Stoneskin. He looked at her, taken back by her quickness.

She spoke quickly to cast Paralyze on Kolvar, he watched as a shadow slowly disappeared. He cursed, she smirked as she started to speak several words. He knew what she was doing and reached for a Shihei to recast his shadows. She casted Diaga very quicky, then she struck quickly, he parryed her without a problem.

She cursed as he finish calling forth his shadows. He watched as small flacks of stone chipped away from his Dia effect. Soon his whole Stoneskin would dissappear.

He moved quickly and hit the shoulder of Minimaru, she wasn't ready for this and a trace of blood moved down her arm, she turned her head quickly. Looking from her wound to Kolvar, then she started to speak several new words of magik that Kolvar did not know. He quickly spoke the words for the spell of SIlence. She smirked as she resisted the spell. He sowre again and attacked her, hitting her twice more. SHe stopped speaking mid spell.

Jumping towards Kolvar, she did a complicated set of moves, first swinging wide and taking ouyt one of his shadows then instantly swinging again and destroying another. She smiled as she started to swing again, stabbing thru one more shadow then she connected with Kolvar, watching a huge chunk of his Stoneskim fall off. He was unprotected. He stepped back.

She swung again knockng him back 10 feet or so into a table. He watched as vase fell over, smashing to the ground, quickly he spoke the words for cure and felt his wounds healing. He attempted to recast Stoneskin but Minimaru jumnped in and hit hard again. He doubled over.

his body shaking as she stood over him, she jumped high, raising her sword above her head.

Just as she reached her high point, Kolvar drew the last of his strength and rolled over. Her sword glancing off his shield as he rolled. Sparks flew as her sword made contact with the ground. She swore loudly.

Kolvar pushed himself to his feet and spoke several words for a high power cure. He felt his body regenerate. Minimaru jumped at him, missing him buy inches. She swung herself around and swung her sword at him. He barely parryed it.

Regaining his composer, he quickly pulled a shihei out of his belt pouch, calling forth his shadows. Minimaru swung again, making on of his shadows vanish. He started to speak the words for Stoneskin quickly.

Minimaru watched as a great chunks of earth rose and surround Kolvar. She spoke several words of magik and a giant Lightning Bolt jumped from the sky and hit Kolvar, one of his shadows disappeared. She just smirked at him.

Kolvar taken aback by her smirk, ran to attack her just as she started to mouth several words. Then he stopped. A giant ring surrounded him and grabbed his feet. Holding him in place. He swore at her.

"You think holding me like will stop me? WELL IT WON'T" He shouted at her.

Laughing at him, "No but it will give me to time to finish my plan."

She lowered her head and spoke very omish words, Kolvar could not hear her. But then suddenly the ground shook. A huge drak circle appeared and from it ame a great a wolf looking creature. Kolvar knew this must be the legend Fenrir. He, like many adventures, had only heard rumors of this creature.

Fenrir bowed forward on his front paws, bowing to Minimaru, his master. Minimaru just said four words, four very normal words. Kolvar was stunned with shock.

"Kill him my pet!"

He started to struggle against the =binds on his feet. He felt them weakening as Fenrir edge closer and closer. Then suddenly Fenrir nipped at him, he barely evaded it. As he did, the binds broke free and he tumbled over, his shield dropping and falling a few feet from him.

He reached for his shield and stood up, fenrir came lunging at him. Biting at his body armor, Kolvar bashed at him with his shield. Knocking the great wolf over. He jumped to his feet again, looking at Minimaru as she watched, laughing.

He stood still and pulled a shihei out of his belt before Fenrir had regained his composer. Fenrir lunged at him again and two of his shadows disappeared. Just as he was about to attack again, Fenrir looked over to Minimaru.

"My pet, show him your Eclipse Bite." She barked the order with her sinster smirk.

Fenrir smiled and paced around Kolvar. Kolvar drew his sword and attacked Fenrir, hitting him several times. Fenrir jumped back, blood trickling from his nose. Kolvar wasted no time, speaking several words of magik, a great tunnel of Wind appeared and spun Fenrir several times. He stopped dazed, but quickly regained his senses. He lunged at Kolvar, hitting him with three extremely quick bites.

Kolvar fell back instantly. Kneeling on the ground, blood rushing from wounds on his body. Somewhere in the back of his head he laugh, thinking that he was happy no undead existed here. He quickly spoke the words for cure and his wounds started to disappear, looking over at Minimaru he lunged at her.

His sword connecting with three quick blows, Minimaru fell over onto her side. Fenrir rushed over and pounced upon Kolvar. Kolvar kept hitting him with his shield and blocking as many bites as he could. But it was almsot unless, Fenrir was inflicting a great amount of damage. Then suddenly he stopped.

Fenrir got off and walked slowly to Minimaru' side. He kneeled to Minimaru, his master, and disappeared.

"You see the pain I can cause you?" she started to pace as Kolvar attempted to stand. "This is nothing but a taste of my power. I know things you could never begin to understand. My whole body is a temple of knowledge from all times of Vana'Diel." At this she stopped and watched Kolvar begin to stand.

"You know not what you are doing you feeble Hume. My quest goes far beyond that of the Tarutaru Nation.. She looked a thim quickly and spoke two words, a small fire appeared a this legs. He toppled in pain.

SHe began to apce again, "Why do you attempt to stop me? I am only trying to untie a world of heathens and simpletions." She looked at Kolvar, rolling on the floor in pain. It was then she noticed the ring on his finger. She walked over and removed it from his bloodly finger.

It was a small silver band with a single word engraved on it, Hoboolett. She looked down at Kolvar and spoke the magik words for cure, the pain disappeared.

His eyes fixed on the ring in her finger, his last living memory of his great love. She was slowly turning the ring in her fingers, almost as though she was waiting for it to change. She gazed at it then at Kolvar who was struggling to stnad again. She quickly spoke several words and a green cloud formed around Kolvar. He fell to the ground again, his strength being drained from him.

She looked at him solemly, "Why do you still have such an item?"

Struggling to speak, "Cause I care for her," coughing up a small amount blood before he finishes. "and I always will."

"She is gone, never to return. I do remember her. I remember how you two were together," tossing the ring at Kolvar "I think I will reunite you two tonight."

She stood over him, he tried with all his might to lift his sword. He couldn't do it. His hand grasped out for where the ring fell, gripping it tight as Minimaur began to speak a series of words that Kolvar had never heard.

He couldn't focus on them , his mind raced. Running through La Thiene with Hoboolett, fighting monsters with her, first time he gazed into her eyes....it all stopped. She had finished her spell.

A giant ball of white light appeared over him, Swirled around, then oppened a hole on the ground. A magik more powerful then any ever seen in Vana'diel was unleashed. Kolvar laid on the ground. Blood seeping from his lips. Minimaru turned as she heard a noise. The ring rolled around the room, stopping in front of the door to Northern San d' oria.

She watched it bounce for a moment then it stopped. SHe walked forward to pick it up as the door burst open and a lengthy Elvaan Blackmage rushed in. He quickly saw the body of his friend on the ground and then stared towards Minimaru, seeing the ring on the floor.

He quickly spoke the words for Stun, grabbing the ring quick and rushing to his friend. he grasped him, a tear rolling down his cheek as he looked at Minimaru and started to speak several words of magik. Both him and the body of his friend disappeared as black circles surrounded them and vanished.

Minimaru laughed as his spell wore offf. SHe knew that Gavilrain was no match for her. She moved towards the chamber doors of the Kings Throne Room. Pushing them open with force, she gazed about inside. Nothing. Kolvar had told her the truth.

In a fury of curses and shouting, she spoke several words and the whole place was engulfed in fire. She smirked and spoke 4 other words and disappeared.

From outside, passerbys could see black smoke emitting itself from the great Chateau d'Oraguille. Children were pointing and adults were crying. Suddenly the door to the Chateau d'Oraguille burst open and several people rushed out coughing. None was the king nor his sons.

About ten passing by Blackmages rushed inside. Using very strong Water and Ice spells were able to stop the blaze before it engulf the whole building, but the damage was done. The once mighty tower was black and have destroyed. Best it had burned then to leave us with this reminder was the comment from many.

Maikeru stood up, ir rahter tried to. His legs gave way quickly and he toppled back over. He landed hard on his right shoulder, so he just lied there staring straight up. The stars had come out since he passed out and he just watched them. Trying to remember the Galkan COnstentalions, all he could find was Gray Fang, The Great Hunter. It was said he was the greatest archer ever, but those days are gone and now these days might end as well.

With a sigh, he rolled over onto his left shoulder, his right was still throbbing. He mustarded all the strength he could and pushed himself to his feet. Wobbling some before he was able to regain his full balance, he just stodd there like a new Galkan Cub taking their first steps.

Now that his balance was regained, everything game spinning back to him. That must of Minimaru on that Chocobo but what the hell did she do to me? He pondered it for a moment then remembered he was headed to Jueno, it was odd, his memories kept coming back slowly as though they were jumbled up in his head. He casted that though aside and looked for his Chocobo, seeing it nowhere around he cursed loudly as he pulled out a whistle.

He blew into the whistle, making a note that far surpassed his normal skill. He blew in it once more and then sat down crossed leged. He attempted to clear his mind and regain his thoughts but they just came slower and slower the more he tried, he finally gave up with a great sigh. Opening his eyes he though backl to when he and Minimaru came here for the first time, their eyes wide with wonder. First time they entered into Jueno, seeing adventerors experienced way beyond themselves and in complete awwww.

He heard something, turning his head quickly he saw a great blue Chocobo approaching. He smiled at the speedness of his Chocobo and he stodd up. His balance was back fully now and he found he was able to stand move with issue. He grabbed the saddle as the Chocobo approached and swung on, "Friend I need all the haste you can bring forth. This is very important to me, we need to be a Jueno as quickly as we can." We an understanding chirp, the Chcobo raced off.

He watched as Rolanberry Fields passed by in a blur. He was more then iompressed with his Chocobo, he never knew he was able to get such speed. They were quickly approacing Jueno. He could see the gate to the great city ahead, but something was wrong. He slowed hsi Chocobo down as neared. There where adventurers here killing stuff, people resting, and more people trying to sell stuff in bazaars. Minimaru wouldn't of just passed without incident, she turned around. he swung his head back the way he came as he though it. Swearing louding enough for several adventers to take noticed his urged his Chocobo over the bridge to Lower Jueno. He dropped him off at the Chocobo Stables and ordered the attendent to take extra care of him and he tosse dher a few coins.

I must talk to Valark he though as he hurried towards her office.

Gavilrain exited Kolvar's Mog House. His long time friend was dead. nothing no WhiteMage or anyone else could do. As he exited he saw a horde of new and seasoned adventers standing there, staring at him. Was then he noticed that he was covered in blood, the blood of his friend. He clenched his fist in rage and walked on. Recieving a few pats and sorrowed looks from people as he passed them. He was a friend to many it seems.

He contuined to walk through Southern San d'Oria. His mind raced from grief to anger. How could Minimaru do such a such a thing. THEY WERE FRIENDS. Droplets of blood fell from his glinched fist, they were lamost white at the moment.

He wondered what he was suppose to do now. His friend died to the one of the mightiest foes ever to be seen in Vanadiel and he ran away. He walked till he found a quiet place and sat down to think. Letting exhaustion overcome him, he passed out.

Finally breaking the extented time of silence Vegnagunn asked, "What are we gonna do if we reach The Throne Room."

Cloudstrif looked down at his frined with a worried expression "I know not my great friend. I am doing nothing more then following my heart," he sighed softly as he stopped. "This is the most fearful time for all of Vana'diel. A foe the likes we have never seen has emerged and worse of all, it is a friend. She has claimed herself the Shadowlord, so we will enter the domain of the Shadowlord and find out what we can..."

"We are being followed," Yuffi interrupted as she hugged a wall. They all quickly moved to places of hiding as they heard footsteps. "Could it be a Goblin or Qaudav?" Zeos asked softly.

Shaking his head, "To soft for either. Let's wait we have the number advantage here."
