Sold the house, moving in the next two weeks to a much bigger house (yay for us)...

School is kicking my butt and cutting into my playing time...

Wife's car got rear-ended (she's ok, no injuries), I gave her my 02 Sequoia to drive and the insurance company gave us a 2010 Camaro to drive because there wasn't anything else at the time (at least that's what I told the wife, lol)...

Yeah, she is definitely alright and I am definitely enjoying the Chevy for now but we'll be happy to have our Toyota back where it belongs.

Not sure if anyone here knew him but wanted to let people know Lordbane who was a member of a LS I was in was killed in a car accident in early March. He was a good guy, a great friend, and a great father of two young girls. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Lordbane was in an LS with me as well. I didn't know him very well, but he was very helpful. We'll all be praying for his family.

Hey Alliam, everything is going well for me, school and work are keeping me busy but starting Saturday is my schools spring break so I will havea little time to relax.

When I went back the first time, i got really bored in a few classes, so I pretty much took a FFXI class on my laptop throughout the year. And still passed my classes. I had a notebook for my classes and a separate one for FFXI lol. I hated taking notes on my laptop.

Hope everyone has a great Easter, mine would be better if I didn't get a 2:30am wake up call from the freezer alarm at work because of a power outage.

BLM is at 88 now and I sold my merc kris and decided to be lazy and buy my mission spells. That way if I get too hard up for gil I can quest them then and sell them. Getting more atmas and starting to look into zone bosses and such with the Ls, I swear I am so far behind on content. I think I am gonna buckle down, finish windurst missions so I will be 3/3 nations, then work on finishing ToaU, WotG, and Abyssea...

One can dream right? I swear I wish I had the play time I use to have. I am off tomorrow though and since I was off yesterday I completely finished my "Honey do" list so I am golden for a lazy day of ffxi!

So how are ya liking BLM, Alliam? It's crazy to have an almost endless supply of MP inside Abyssea.
Now that you're higher than 87, you can spam the Trophies for a nice nuking body. Took me a buncha tries, but got one with MAB +5 augmented on it.

For BLM it's called the Literae set.
As you kill NMs in the newest expansion pack for Abyssea, you get trophies. You may have already gotten some without knowing what they were. 1st Echelon, 2nd Echelon etc etc. Goes from 1st to 5th.
Basically you talk to a Dominion Tactician and trade in your trophies for pieces of gear. They come with various augments on them. You can also trade up on the trophies. ie: 2x 2nd Echelon = 1x 1st Echelon.

Base Literae Coat (1st Echelon) comes with:
INT +4
Magic Attack Bonus +3

After the augments (totally random, you know how it is) you can end up with more INT or MAB.

The one I have now has an additional MAB +5.
So in total it's INT +4 and MAB +8. :D

Everything is good. A little stressed since I have to hand in my thesis on Monday. If everything goes well I'll have my Masters in Education in 2 weeks.

Spent a few months playing FFXIV but that went downhill fast. Probably coming back to FFIX sometime next week since a few friends returned and have been talking up Abyssea and how fun it is.

Sup peoples. Looks like I'm definitely coming back lol. Had to get a new credit card number because of PSN getting hacked and I don't trust Sony so I can't come back until that card comes in the mail. Starting to get that itch, I want to play!

I finally got back last night. Started working on NIN to get it to 49 from 37. I got 40 last night doing FoV while seeking and in a party. Had some cool people in it which was nice to see for a change. The boost in XP is really damn nice. Looking forward to getting NIN done so I could start working on my RDM sub for BLM.

I'm still not sure what to level as a melee. There's my DRG but I keep reading how sick MNK and NIN are for low man Abyssea which is what I'll be doing with my friends. I'm doing BST first to do solo farming, BLM second since it's nice to have around, then I'm not sure between DRG, MNK, or NIN. Don't want to go too crazy with jobs since I'd like to gear them up in a reasonable amount of time. Plus I can't play as much as I did before.

So, anyone want to chime in on DRG, MNK, and NIN in Abyssea? My low man group has 1 guy with MNK and NIN available, another guy with every mage class at 90, and then there's me with BST, BLM, and DRG all at 75 until I get Abyssea on the 16th. After that I plan on hitting 90, capping any merits I'm missing, and then start farming AF3.

There's 4000 ppl on fenrir right now. Port jeuno is packed full. I'm having to play on xbox because the hard drive in my new laptop went bad, so it's a giant lag fest for me.

there was a big /sh match in port jeuno last night. it was all senseless and stupid, but some of it was pretty funny. everything will calm down in the next few days and weeks and we'll have assimilated them all soon enough.

Hey everyone, had my Chemistry final last night so done with school for the semester, but I am taking a speech class during the summer so only a couple of weeks break for me. In game I got my +1 Tantra gloves last night so I am now 4/5 on +1 just missing the most annoying piece to get the body, but my LS is supposed to help me with that a bit tonight.
